When I stopped, I noticed Taylor staring at me, and when I turned to look, her eyes were wide. She almost looked like she might cry, smiling up at me in a way that really made me want to kiss her. But I knew I couldn't, not in front of everyone else even though I was pretty sure it was obvious we had something going on.

"Thank you for saying that, Travis." Taylor whispered. "That means a lot."

"I mean it." I nudged her arm gently. "You kick me out the second I piss you off again." Taylor laughed and shook her head at me, smiling so damn adorably I just wanted to wrap my arms around her and never let her go.

We slipped back into more light-hearted conversation after that, and soon the kids were getting up to go to bed, tired from their day of skiing. Harriet and Paul got up to make sure everyone got back to their dorms, and as Taylor and I went to get up, Harriet waved her hand and told us she'd watch our kids and Paul could watch theirs so we could stay there. I saw her throw Taylor a wink as she almost dragged Paul away. She knew.

"She knows." I murmured to Taylor.

"I told her." Taylor blushed. "Is that okay? She won't tell anyone, but we were just talking."

"What'd you tell her?" I asked curiously.

"Just that things were happening."

"Anything else."

"No." She swallowed. "I didn't think there was anything else."

"There sure as hell is princess." I put my arm around her shoulders, pulled her closer. "I know we might not have made it official, you know, out loud, but you were mine from the start." Taylor smiled as I kissed her temple. "But I also know you might need to hear it, so be my girlfriend princess." I kissed her cheek this time, making her blush. "I promise I'll never let you go."

Taylor turned her head and kissed me properly, smiling, nodding as she said yes. I smiled wider, slipping a hand up past her jaw, into her hair to hold her against me. She knew she was mine; I was hers, but it was so incredible saying it out loud.

"I don't want to go home." Taylor sighed. "I could stay here forever."

"Without your daughter?" I laughed.

"Okay well except for her." She giggled, and then bit her lip as she looked up at me. "Her name is Abby. Did I tell you that?"

"No." I murmured, tucking hair out of her face. "I mean you didn't exactly tell me, but you mentioned her name a while ago, so I kind of figured." Taylor nodded, smiling as she shuffled as close as she could on the bench. I wrapped the blanket tighter around her as she rested her head against my neck.

We sat there for a while, just gazing into the fire, my arm around Taylor's shoulders. It felt so nice with her, easy, right. We didn't have to speak to feel comfortable, and I could have sworn Taylor almost fell asleep where she was curled up. She looked like she felt so safe, and I loved that she was feeling that was in my arms. God, I loved her.

"My Mom really wants to meet you." She said after a while.

"Been telling her about me huh?"

"Duh." Taylor giggled. "I tell my mom everything. She wants to meet the football coach that pissed me off so much I fell in love with him." I smiled, kissing her hair. "I want you to meet Abby as well." She whispered tentatively.
