5 years later
"Okay, okay!" I clapped my hands from where I stood by the door. "I need five little Kelce's, front and centre!"
The pattering of little feet and childish squeals of excitement came down towards me,and within a minute all five of my children appeared. Abby - since she was the oldest –ran the fastest and jumped into my arms, beating her siblings with a cry of triumph. Ilaughed, scooping her up and kissing her cheek as Evie and Belle – now five – and Benand Leo – almost three – ran over behind her. Taylor and I had been blown away whenwe'd found out we were having twin boys only a year and a bit after having our twin girls, but we'd been so ecstatic that we had a huge family. We loved each and every single oneof our kids to death.
"Oh don't you all look amazing!" I smiled. All five of them were dressed up for theconcert in the outfits Taylor had designed for them, all of them representing their owneaster egg. "We ready to go?"
"Daddy look!" Evie squealed, showing me her light up shoes."Very pretty Evie-bug." I complimented, and she giggled. "Alright, I want everyone to goand touch their door okay?
It was the easiest way to manage five kids getting into a car on my own. They all had adoor to touch, and I buckled them in one at a time. Abby was old enough to insist shecould do it herself, so she climbed into the car while the other four all followed our littledoor game. I got them all in, and we arrived at the stadium in perfect time.
"Hold hands." I told them as we got out, and the kids all automatically created the linethey always did. Abby leading, then Belle, Leo, Ben, and Evie. I took Evie's hand on theother end, and the six of us walked slowly, escorted by security through and out onto thefloor.
We crowded into the VIP tent and I got all of the kids up on little stools since theycouldn't see otherwise, standing behind them to keep an eye on everyone. They'd beenbuzzing all day about this, and they all chattered happily as we waited.
Then the lights dimmed slightly and the sold out stadium went absolutely nuts, screaming themselves hoarse as a spotlight appeared on the middle of the stage.
I got the earmuffs out of my bag, fitting all of the kids with some to protect their ears as the first notes of the first single on Taylor's album – you belong with me – started playing through the speakers.
My eyes were trapped on my wife as she rose up, clad in a sparkly gold dress, launchinginto the song with her arms thrown wide. The kids all squealed at the sight of their mom, waving their hands. She spotted them and waved back, blowing me a kiss. I blew oneright back, blushing like a teenager.
When the song was over, Taylor stood at the front of the stage, her cheeks flushed withexertion and excitement, her hands tucked behind her as she stared out at the crowd.
They were screaming, cheering, stomping their feet and clapping so loudly it almost hurtmy ears, and pride pounded through me as I stared up at my wife.
We'd come so far, and I was so proud of us. Five kids, both the most successful peoplein our respective careers. Taylor had worked her ass off to get where she was now, and Iloved her even more for it.
"Kansas City!" Taylor lifted her microphone to her lips, her sweet voice ringing outacross the stadium. "It's an honour to say this to you..." She smiled, throwing an armout. "Welcome to the very first night of the Our Invisible String tour!
