After a while, they were all prepared and set off towards the forest.

"What's the device showing, Miss Cage?" inquired Tasha, pointing to the crystal-like object.

"It's unchanged, no glowing light or anything," Cage responded with disappointment.

"Looks like this one's gonna be a challenge," remarked Rosalyn.

"Definitely," Lock concurred.

"By the way, Choi Han, you mentioned living here for a long time. Have you sensed anything unusual?" Alberu inquired eagerly. He then turned to Choi Han, who was leading the way and battling the attacking monsters.

"I was thinking the same thing. Have you ever felt any non-human presence besides these roaming monsters?" Eruhaben questioned.

"Your highness, Eruhaben-nim, I can assure you that it never happened. The only presence that I usually felt was none other than those mindless monsters," Choi Han responded.

"I understand," Eruhaben acknowledged.

They had been traveling for six hours, yet there was no sign of change in the device's appearance. Despite doubts about its functionality, Cage confirmed that it was indeed working.

"Perhaps it's time to call it a night; it's past midnight, and you must all be exhausted. We can resume tomorrow. There's no rush," Eruhaben suggested.

"Allow me to scout the area, Eruhaben-nim," Ron requested.

"Indeed, it would be beneficial. It appears this person is skilled at concealing their presence," Eruhaben remarked.

"Yeah, that's true. We haven't sensed any presence since we arrived other than the monsters," Alberu added.

"Then I'll head out," said Ron.

"I'm coming too, father," Beacrox said as he followed after him.

"Why did you come here, father?" asked Beacrox.

"So you already noticed " said Ron, chuckling.

"Hmm," hummed Beacrox as he waited for his father's answer.

"For some reason, I have a sense of familiarity," Ron answered, glancing at his son. "Do you feel the same?"

"Kinda," answered Beacrox.

"Hmm~," hummed Ron before saying, "Then I think we should head back now."

It's been three days of searching, and they're still without a clue

"The plants are fairing better compared to the others from the start," observed Pendrick.

"True, but they're still not in perfect condition," agreed Tasha.

"The aura of death isn't as intense as it was in the beginning," Mary informed in her GPS-like voice.

"And the monster sightings have decreased," Choi Han pointed out.

"It seems like they are avoiding something," Rosalyn pondered.

"That could mean we're getting closer," Lock said with a glimmer of hope.

"Still," said Alberu, bringing them back from their thoughts, "if even the mindless monsters are afraid of something..."

"That implies it must be truly terrifying," Eruhaben continued.

"WAIT!!!" Cage suddenly screamed, surprising the group around her. "It just started shining," she exclaimed, "THE CRYSTAL IS GLOWING RED!" she joyfully shouted.

The others in the group quickly gathered around her to see the crystal.

"Finally!" Lock exclaimed happily.

"We should press on," Eruhaben ordered eagerly.

"Yes!" the rest of the group exclaimed in unison.

They continued to walk further and the crystal shined brighter

"The forest is becoming even more enchanting here," remarked Rosalyn, "the plants are thriving exceptionally well."

"Yeah, we must be nearing our destination," Beacrox stated in a cool tone.

Suddenly, they heard the voices of children.

"Hey, strong nixee, look at this beautiful flower," a child's voice exclaimed.

"Yes, it's lovely. Well done, Raon," a more mature voice praised.

"Look at this one, Cale, it matches your hair color," another child's voice chimed in.

"Great find, Hong," commended the mature voice.

"And this one, Cale," added a female child's voice.

"Wow, this one is stunning, Ohn," the mature voice complimented once more.

"Are there more than one person?" Rosalyn whispered.

"Are those children's voices?" Tasha inquired.

"I sense a dragon's presence here," Eruhaben mentioned, "we should hasten our pace."

The group proceeded quietly until they came across a young man with long, flowing red hair reaching his waist, captivating reddish-brown eyes, and two sleek black horns spiraling atop his head. He sported two stunning feathered wings on his back, black with a striking dark red hue at the tips, smiling warmly at the trio of children surrounding him.
