Cale, still wearing that enigmatic smile, looked at Alberu. " Indeed, hyung. It is for our benefit" he said, as they moved closer to their destination...........

It was already dark by the time they reached the shore, the presence of the whale drawing them closer. The sea was tumultuous, filled with swirling whirlpools.

"Whoa, how are we going to get there?" Lock asked, his voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and confusion.

"Flying. Duh," Cale mumbled to himself, glancing at Lock with a look that screamed, "Are you serious?" Alberu and Rosalyn, who were standing next to him, exchanged amused glances and sweatdropped at Cale's bluntness.

"Why are there whirlpools here? Nixxe~" Raon inquired, his curiosity piqued.

"Eek! I don't like that," screeched Hong, jumping back as a wave splashed over him, drenching his fur.

"I can sense mermaids' mana here," Cale noted, his voice turning serious. "They probably couldn't stand a chance against the whales and started targeting humans instead." He continued, his tone dripping with disdain, "Tsk, how pathetic."

"Pathetic indeed," Eruhaben agreed, nodding sagely.

"Ahh~ I didn't get paid enough for this," Cale said dramatically, casting a sly glance at Alberu, a silent demand evident in his eyes.

"Tsk," Alberu sighed, shaking his head in mock resignation as he handed Cale a golden plaque.

"Anyways, so~" Cale quickly pocketed the plaque and started outlining a plan, his mind already at work.

The others, observing the duo's antics, couldn't help but sweatdrop, a mix of amusement and exasperation coloring their expressions.

"Tasha, Pendrick, Ron, Beacrox, and Mary, would you mind staying here with Ohn and Hong? It would be good if you could also find us an inn for the night," Cale requested, glancing at the five with a hint of urgency.

"Sure, Phoenix-nim / Cale-nim / young master," the five answered in unison, their voices blending into a chorus.

"Ahh, drop that Phoenix-nim, I already said it's annoying. And I am no longer a young master," Cale said, looking visibly annoyed.

"Sorry, Cale-nim," Pendrick and Tasha apologized quickly, looking sheepish.

'Ohh~ How kind and noble of him. As expected of a phoenix,' thought Pendrick and Tasha, their eyes sparkling with admiration as they looked at Cale.

'Hmm? What's with them?' Cale glanced at them, confused by their adoring expressions.

"We should head there already. We can't risk him dying and ruining our plan," Rosalyn said, her tone firm, earning nods of agreement from Eruhaben.

"Then, let's go," Cale said decisively. As soon as the words left his mouth, they suddenly started floating in the air, heading towards the presence with alarming speed.

"Wah! What's that?" Choi Han and Lock exclaimed together, their eyes wide with surprise.

"Hmm? I already told you that I control the wind. What's up with you?" Cale responded, looking at the two strangely. "And weren't you the ones who asked me to hurry?"
