'BASTARD!! Why call me hyung now, of all times, and in front of all these schemers?' Alberu thought, feeling a headache coming on. 'My desk will be drowning in paperwork tomorrow. You'll pay for this, dongsaeng.'

"Hyung?" one of the nobles murmured, eyebrows raised in curiosity.

"Dongsaeng?" another repeated, lost in thought.

"Are they close?" the nobles began to whisper among themselves, the room filling with low murmurs.

"I could use this to my advantage," one of them muttered quietly, eyes narrowing in calculation.

"Not if I do first," another retorted, smirking.

"Ho! It seems Prince Alberu and His Majesty the Emperor are rather familiar with each other. Are you sure this is your first meeting?" Adin interjected, leaning slightly forward over the table. The murmurs around the room died down, and all eyes turned to the ongoing conversation.

"I-" Alberu started, aiming to steer the conversation away and maintain his earlier claim that he and Cale had just met. However, Cale cut in smoothly.

"Oh yes, we've met before. Do you have a problem with that, Adin?" Cale replied, pointedly using Adin's first name without any honorifics, clearly conveying his disdain.

Adin, momentarily thrown off by Cale's bluntness, quickly regained his composure and pressed on.

"Certainly not, Your Majesty. But didn't you mention you respected your elders? Why don't I receive the same courtesy?" Adin asked, trying to deflect, though he only managed to dig himself deeper.

"I respect those I find worthy of my respect," Cale replied coldly, his gaze piercing Adin. "Or are you attempting to order me around?" Cale's slitted, reddish-brown eyes seemed to burn with a dangerous light, and the sea creatures around him glared menacingly at Adin.

The atmosphere in the room grew oppressive, suffocating even, especially for the humans present. The killing intent emanating from a phoenix was beyond their comprehension.

Alberu faked a cough, cutting through the tension. "Dongsaeng, perhaps we should begin the meeting?" he suggested, trying to divert Cale's attention from escalating the situation.

'This punk! Is he planning to kill some kings right here? The Roan Kingdom would be ruined,' Alberu thought frantically.

"Sure, hyung, let's start," Cale agreed. The oppressive air around him lifted instantly as he smiled at the guests, a smile that made them feel anything but at ease.

'This is boring as hell,' Cale thought to himself

"So, Your Majesty, could you explain the reason for your sudden appearance and the urgent meeting request?" Zed inquired.

"Well, I'll keep it brief and straightforward. If you don't understand, it either means you're deaf or simply incapable of grasping basic concepts," Cale replied bluntly, his gaze sweeping over the gathered nobles and kings, deliberately ignoring those he deemed unworthy.
