Caroline, Theodore, Klaus and Elijah were midway through the illusion by destroying the tombs but when they reached a room full of candles, they stopped.

"We've passed through here twice already. We're running out of time." Klaus said in frustration, punching through a wall.

"Then we move faster." Theodore replied, trying to stop his mind from spiralling with thoughts of his sister, his twin, his other half and trying to focus on saving his niece.

"Or-" Caroline began before being cut off by someone.

"Or smarter."

"Seriously? That was my-" Caroline cut herself off when turning around, "line..."

Theodore turned around the same time as Caroline and was stunned to say the least.

"Ally?"

The name slipped out his lips like it usually did, but this time it was different. It was a mere whisper, barely audible, but that wasn't the only difference because he was aghast when saying it, more than ever before.

Theodore didn't wait another second before running to his sister and giving her a bone-crushing hug. A hug that was different to any other, a hug that expressed every single thing he was feeling right now, a hug that said more than words, a hug that told him how grateful he was to have her back, a hug that took his pain away.

As Theodore wrapped his arms around her, he felt whole again because he had his sister, his twin, his other half back.

As Allison wrapped her arms around him, she felt whole again because she had her brother, her twin, her other half back.

Caroline was unable to move. She was in shock.

Allison released herself from a Theodore's grip and then looked at her sister and walked over to her, recognising the look on her face.

It was the look Allison herself had on her face many times before and it was a look that seemed permanent when her entire family died before her: the look of crushing guilt.

"It's not your fault, Care." Allison looked up and smiled at her sister softly.

Those were the words it took for Caroline to truly believe that it wasn't her fault because it left her lips.

And those words were enough for Caroline to finally move again, to finally wrap her arms around her sister again and to finally keep her close again.

The look of awe on her sister's face was enough for Allison to finally move, to finally wrap her arms around her sister again and to finally keep her close again.
