Once returning from college, Allison arrived home. She checked her room and then Klaus' study to see if he was painting. She gave up searching for him until she realised that she could just use her supernatural hearing.

I'm dumb, she thought.

Once she heard his voice, she followed it until she reached the room he was in. She frowned when recognising it was Elijah's room.

"Let me help end whatever torment she has forced upon you."

What was he doing in there and who was he talking to?

Allison opened the door and sped over to him to see nose bleeding and more importantly: Elijah.

Allison's eyes widened and a smile landed on her lips before processing that he was unconscious and that her boyfriend seemed to be holding onto him with a bloodied nose.

Her widened eyes were now no longer ones of happiness but of concern as she pulled Klaus off Elijah, his elder brother seeming to cause him pain.

"What the fuck?" Allison questioned as Klaus held onto her with panted breaths and wiped the blood from below his nose.

"Oh, right, my love. I forgot to mention yesterday that I've rescued my dear brother." Klaus said, still breathless.

"Well, that's great but what on earth are you doing and why isn't he awake? Do I need to call an ambulance?" Allison questioned suspiciously.

Klaus shook his head, "An ambulance won't be necessary, my love. I'm simply trying to enter Elijah's thoughts to wake him. Esther's locked me out."

"Okay, so nothing too out of the ordinary." Allison muttered sarcastically before moving closer to her unconscious friend to observe him more clearly.

Her brows furrowed in concern when noticing a flower petal-shaped wound on his neck, "Is this rash a side effect of his dear mother's love?"

Klaus frowned, clearly not knowing about this, "I haven't seen this since I was a child. Mikael would return home from battle more blindly temperamental than usual, and our mother would use the petals of a rare merlock orchid to put him to sleep. She would mend his mind with a spell, and then wake him with the roots of the same plant. If she has access to it now, then maybe it also grows in the Bayou."

"Well, are you gonna go look for it?" Allison asked.

"Yes." Klaus said, walking over to the door, "Tag along if you'd like."
