Kyla Foster

Me: They left, so you can come. Park your car back there.

Ryker: Allright sweetheat.

My heart quickens and I put the phone down. Ryker and I are officially together now, I'm just waiting for him to break up with Maddy. But he promised to do it after her dad's wedding. And that's soon.

My parents are going out to dinner tonight so Hazel and I will be alone.

And it's the perfect opportunity to invite him to my place. So far we have only been to the beach.

One of the best beach trips ever.

I'm excited as I wait for him so I lean nervously and dance around the mirror. Now I understand why people say that falling in love is the most beautiful feeling.

It definitely is and I feel inexplicably happy.

My mom noticed this and keeps asking me if I have a boyfriend. I would love to tell her everything, how happy and understanding Ryker makes me, but I know she wouldn't understand. And to condemn me.

But I think we have something special. We have a thousand topics to talk about and I'm never bored with him. And he keeps telling me how different I am from his previous girlfriends. Because they all took advantage of him.

He also tells me about the problems he has with Madison and how things are not good between them. That they don't hear from each other for several days and don't see each other. That makes me feel a lot lighter.

I receive a message on my mobile from Ryker that he has arrived. I practically jump for joy and rush down the stairs to open it for him. Hazel comes out of her room and looks at me.

"Where are you going sister?"

"Stay there," I answered her and hurried towards the door. He is standing in front with a bouquet of red roses.

He leans down and I stand on my toes and we kiss. I take in his scent for a few seconds as we hug. I miss him.

"This is for you," says Ryker, handing me the bouquet.

"They are wonderful, thank you," I answered, feeling the warmth spreading through my whole body. I take the roses and pull his hand inside.

"Come, come in."

He enters and Hazel comes down the stairs. Her eyes widen with happiness as soon as she sees Ryker.

"Ryker!"

"Hey, little princess!" he answered, kneeling down to be at her height.

"How are you today?"

Hazel jumped in excitement, leaving her toy on the ground, and ran towards him.

"Ryker, Ryker! Take me!"

He laughed and I could see his eyes shining with joy.

"Of course, Hazel. Come here."

He lifts her gently and puts her on his shoulders, where she immediately starts laughing and waving her arms.

"Look at me, Kyla! I'm high!" she shouted, holding on to Ryker.

"I see you, Hazel! You look like a little bird on his shoulders!" I replied, laughing at her happiness.

"Hazel, go draw me and Ryker now, okay?" I ask her, to which she nods her head. Ryker puts her down and she runs to her room.

Ryker gently sets Hazel down on the floor after a few minutes of play, and she happily runs back to her room. We look at each other and the smile doesn't leave our faces. I take his hand and pull him towards the living room.
