Chapter 49

"You'll train her?"

Theron and Camille already know that Tamara will undergo training under the Yamaguchi. She'll be under my supervision, along with Hiroki, Milo, and Owen. As for Mr. Lim, once I'm confident in his ability to train others, then he can also take part in Tamara's training, or they can train together.

"Yes, and the training will start tomorrow morning. I hope you don't have any complaints about that," I said. I even gave a quick glance at Tamara, and she was so nervous about what her parents would say about her training.

Theron and Camille looked at Tamara na ngayon ay nakayuko na, ayaw salubungin ang tingin ng mga magulang niya. Despite her evident fear, she still continued to do everything, to grow stronger and fight for what she believes is right.

"I know you'll be good trainers to her, but I'm sorry, I will not allow her to train, Mrs. Yamaguchi." I've already predicted that Theron would not agree. Ever since Tamara arrived here, he has been so eager to return to Switzerland to keep his family away from danger.

"Dad? Please allow me to do what I want. For once, let me decide for myself!" Tamara stood up against her Dad.

"After the war, we'll come back to Switzerland! Your desire to become a part of the mafia will not happen! I will never allow it, Tamara!" Theron firmly said, causing Tamara to shed tears.

I was about to stand up, but Hiroki immediately held my hand, stopping me from interfering with them. I just sighed and looked away.

I understand Theron well. That he's doing this to protect his family, but why does he need to stop his daughter from doing what she wants? Is learning how to use guns and self-defense such a big issue?...  Is this what parents feel for their children if you become a parent? Is it right for them to protect their children instead of teaching them how to fight?

I don't know because I'm still not a parent, a mother. I don't know when I'm going to have my own children or if I will have them one day.

"I'll allow my daughter to train under you," Camille said as she stood up.

"Camille?" Theron faced his wife with furrowed brows, not expecting that she would allow their daughter.

"Your daughter is old enough to decide for herself what she wants to do. Yes, we've kept her so far to make sure she lives a normal and peaceful life unlike ours, but didn't you see? It's truly in her blood to become involved with the mafia, and we can't stop it."

"She's just 18. Do you think... she can already fight?"

"That's why she'll have training. To become strong and prepared." Camille said and held Theron's hand as she continued to convince her husband. "It's time to accept that our daughter wants to be part of the mafia."

"Dad, I promise you and Mom that I won't do anything that would put me in a situation where I'll be hurt. I'm doing this training to be as strong as you are and not be scared to face challenges, especially when the day comes when I need to face Lolo." Tamara also held her Dad's hand.

Tamara's training started, and it proved to be challenging, testing my patience every step of the way. I'm the one who taught her how to use different guns and self-defense techniques, especially focusing on speed, while Hiroki focused on agility and strength. Milo and Owen also contributed by teaching her additional techniques she can use. Each day, she's growing stronger and more capable. She can now even use guns proficiently while running. Her progress is remarkable, showing her potential in this world.

I may have seen her weakness, but I was impressed because she used that weakness to become her strength.

Tamara and Mr. Lim may have started their training differently, but their determination now drives them to persist and grow stronger. I am now much more confident to take them with us for the upcoming war, seeing how they can defend themselves independently. When their time comes, their generation could be the biggest threat to the underground world.
