Chapter 57

"Don Timothy."

I pointed my gun at him when I caught him just about to leave the arena. I was all alone, but I still managed to finish off his men, leaving just the two of us. I found a secret door and managed to follow him.

"Are you leaving already without even saying hi to me?" I said, pretending to sound sad as I slowly stepped forward, keeping my gun pointed at him. He froze, realizing there was no easy escape now. "Everyone is looking for you inside. Why don't we go back and enjoy the party—I mean the chaos a little longer? And if you want, I can even play the violin for you. After all, you were the one who insisted I take those violin lessons, right?" I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

He shifted uncomfortably, his eyes scanning the area for any possible escape, but there was none. If he tried to run, I'd shoot him without hesitation.

"Do you think everything will end if you kill me and Lucia?" he said firmly, his voice steady without fear in his eyes.

"You still think you're that important, don't you?" I chuckled darkly, shaking my head. "Don Timothy, you've been so focused on your own plans, you missed the bigger picture."

He swallowed hard, but his voice remained steady. "You're not the first to underestimate me."

"And you're not the first to make the mistake of thinking you're untouchable," I replied, taking a step closer. "Lucia, you, your whole organization—none of it matters anymore. You've already lost. The moment you decided to betray us, it was over."

"What do you mean?" He glared at me firmly.

"I mean, while you were busy playing your little games, we were building something bigger. You and Lucia were never the real targets. We just used you to get what we wanted. We needed you to move first. And now, everything you've worked for, everyone you trusted—it's all crumbling." I said. "Now, what was yours is now mine, just like what you did to Dad."

He started to giggle, slowly realizing what someone like me was capable of. He had underestimated me, and now he was starting to understand his mistake. He had betrayed us, betrayed Familia Fierro, and betrayed the man who had trusted him so much. He had taken everything from Dad, and it's time to take it all back.

"Familia Fierro almost fell because of you. Everything my father worked for, you slowly took away. That's why I'm here—to take it back and make sure it goes to those who truly deserve it. To us his children." I added.

"This isn't over," he muttered.

"It is for you," I said coldly, my finger tightening on the trigger. "Goodbye, Don Timothy."

I was about to pull the trigger when he spoke again, his voice cutting through the tension and making me stop. I stared at him, my eyes widening in shock. His words hit me hard, making me reconsider my next move as the situation grew more complicated, especially now that there are lives involved.

"You may have taken everything from me, but if you kill me, you'll never see Mr. Lim and my only granddaughter again."

"What have you done to them?" I asked, my voice trembling with anger now.

"Kill me," he said with a smirk, as if enjoying the twisted game he had set up. I clenched my jaw, realizing this was a game I hadn't predicted.

"I will," I replied firmly, holding my gun tightly. "Where are they?" I demanded.

"Uhmm?" He acted as if he was thinking. "Where are they again? I thought they were in Japan?"

"Stop playing games with me!" I'm trying to be patient, but his game is pushing me to my limits. He just shrugged nonchalantly.
