Chapter 54
Kuya Islwynn and Kuya Evander, along with the entire Familia Fierro, decided to leave the mansion and officially end the alliance with the Yamaguchi. This wasn't an easy decision, but in the end, it might be the best choice for now, especially for me and Kuya Islwynn, as we always fight and can't understand each other.
The tension between us has been growing for some time now. Every meeting ended in an argument, every discussion seemed to widen the gap between our perspectives. It wasn't just about minor disagreements, it was a deep difference in how we saw things, how we approached problems, and what we believed was best for all of us.
"Aren't you going to stop them, Madam?" Boris asked as we watched them leave from the second-floor window. The Familia Fierro men, including Kuya Islwynn and Kuya Evander, were making their way out of the mansion.
"Let them," I said with a heavy sigh. "It's their decision to leave, and it might be for the best right now."
"But we're in the middle of a war." Blaze interjected from behind me. "We need every ally we can get. This isn't the time for internal conflicts or splitting our forces."
"The endless arguing and lack of understanding between us have caused more problems than solutions. Their departure now might give us a chance to reassess and strengthen our position in a different way." I turned to face them both, trying to show them how complicated things are. I understand their concerns, but I need to think about the whole organization and everything that's happening. "Sometimes, a temporary separation can help us see things more clearly and make better decisions."
"What if they start to move against the Hernandez Organization? If they take action, it could make the situation even worse." Milo added.
"The situation is chaotic right now. I know they'll choose not to engage with what's happening for now. They might wait for the right moment to make their move." I said. "For now, let's not worry about them unless it starts to interfere with our plans, especially since Lucia Jones is still with us. I'm sure they'll come back to get her from us."
I can't believe this day has come, that I'm going to be separated from my brothers again. It's hard to accept, especially since I've always wanted them to stay by my side after everything that happened to me and Nikolaus, so I could protect them from everything. Despite my best efforts, they don't appreciate it, and we always end up fighting with each other. It's like no matter how much I want us to be united, our disagreements and conflicts just keep driving us apart.
They see me as more heartless since I came back, and not the sister they need them, but the truth is, I'm doing this for them.
"Hon, you look busy, so I made your favorite pasta." Hiroki said, holding the wooden table with the food he prepared. I was in the office room, working on something and had forgotten to eat.
"Thanks, hon," I said and gave him a small smile.
"I'll feed you, uhm?" He offered, but I shook my head without looking at him.
"Just leave it there, hon," I replied, still not looking at him as I continued typing on my laptop. Then I pressed the button to call for Milo. "Come here and give me an update."
"Eat while waiting for Milo, then I'll continue what you're working on," he said. This time, I stopped and looked at Hiroki. His expression softened, but his voice was steady but firm, and I could sense the tension rising.
"Fine, I'll just continue this later. I don't want us to fight just over food," I said and smiled, setting aside my laptop to eat first. I don't want us to fight just over food.
