Chapter 4.

"Good morning!!" Jason said as he and some nurses entered the room where Luca senior was.

"Good morning!!!" Clarisa, Lorenzo ( Gio, Liam and Maliah's dad ), Liam and Gio responded.

"I've been asked by my attending to give you a briefing on your surgery before you are taken to the Operating room.!" Jason said calmly taking out his tablet.

"Where is the doctor??" Liam said coldly.

"She's currently in another surgery!!!" Jason said lightly.

"But my dad was scheduled for a morning surgery so why is she not doing his surgery first??!" Liam said irritated.

"There was a train accident yesterday with multiple victims so Dr Pierce had been in and out wesurgery all night!!! You're father's surgery will be done according to schedule!!!" Jason said calmly.

"But isn't she pregnant??" Gio said suddenly.

"She can manage!!!" Jason said before he started explaining everything to do with the surgery as the nurses he came with did their morning checkups on him prepping him.

After an hour one of the nurses came into the room.

"Dr Malik they are ready for the patient in OR 2!!" The nurse said calmly.

"Is Dr Pierce out of surgery??" Jason said.

"She was out forty minutes ago!!" The nurse said.

"Why didn't she take my dad for surgery then???" Liam said and Clarisa rolled her eyes.

"This session is necessary for every patient that's about to undergo any surgery and as I said earlier she's been in more that four surgeries back to back!!!" Jason said calmly.

"And she is pregnant Luka so stop with your antagonizing!!!" Lorenzo said darkly.

"Am sorry dad!!!" Luka said silently.

"Alright you can take him!!!" Jason said to the nurse before leaving the room.

Gio decided to go to the cafeteria to get some coffee for his mother also taking advantage of this to blow off some steam. He was about to head back upstairs when he spotted Detective Santos.

"What the fuck is that bastard doing here??" He said silently as he watched him walk up to the one and only Dr Pierce who was seated.

She looked irritated by his presence there despite whatever conversation he was trying to have with her. Considering that this lady was about to perform a delicate surgery on his father and now she was having a conversation with the one man that was set to put him in jail was not sitting right with him. He saw him giving her an envelope before he walked back upstairs.

"What took you so long??" Clarita said taking the coffee from him.

"Santos is here!!!" Gio said silently and Luca and Clarita turned to him.

"I've had it with that man!!! We should get a restraining order!!!" Clarita said irritatedly.

"He was talking to Dr Pierce!!!" Gio said silently.

"I knew something was up with that bitch!!! I won't let her have the satisfaction of killing our father!!!" Liam said angrily.

"How many times do I have to warn you about cursing out women??!!! So what will you do???" Clarita said angrily.

"I will supervise that entire operation!!!" Liam said angrily.

"We don't own this hospital so you can't do whatever you want!! Calm down I don't think she will jeprotize her career over some cop!!!!" Clarita said composing herself.
