"Sorry for the interruption, " Dr Malik said teasingly as he shut the door before walking inside.

"Alright stupid haha very funny!!" Diana said rolling her eyes as Gio repositioned himself appropriately.

"We were just talking nothing much–" Gio said smiling lightly and she chuckled when Dr Malik started raising his eyebrows teasingly.

"Okay fool... Am sure you aren't here to look stupid," Diana said lightly looking at the file he was carrying and he smiled.

"My patient's main arteries are closed to shut and you are my attending," Dr Malik said calmly giving her the scans.

She observed them silently as Gio still maintained physical contact by rubbing light gentle circles on her leg while responding to a text message.

"What does me being your attending have anything to do with you getting your patient to surgery??"

"We have a watchdog–"

"A what??"

"A new attending that was brought in by Lanwar to supervise how surgeries are done!! That witch is refusing to clear my patient for surgery!!"

"How am I supposed to help you?? Am on maternity break and am clearly still in recovery!!"

"CABG is what I need to do but it's too complicated for me to do it without my attending and that little snake is still refusing to clear the patient for surgery!! The risks are too high but no one is willing to take that surgery because of her!!"

"Isn't that illegal or something?? Sorry for butting in–" Gio said lightly when the baby started crying.

"It is," Dr Malik set down his files taking the baby in his arms.

"You are a bitch!!" Diana said catching both men by surprise.

"Who? Me??" Dr Malik said confused.

"Yes you. Who else here looks like a whining baby other than my child who is literally a whining baby??? Hmm??? I've pumped you with so much muscle but when it's time to actually use them you chicken out and what??? Run to hide under my fucking skirt like a little bitch!!" Diana said controlling her irritation.

"Babe–" Gio started but she raised her index finger to him catching him by surprise.

"You are my apprentice... The best cardio surgeon resident in this entire establishment... Literally... You are getting bullied because am not there to be your knight in shining armor but am pretty sure am not a pathetic teacher or am I??"

"Of course not–" Dr Malik said hurriedly.

"Good!! So let's see how much you're chicken brain can remember... What are your most sacred parts of any surgeon??"

"Pitch it to the patient... If he knows the risks and what he'd have to sacrifice without surgery that he'll not take the chance... He will opt for surgery!!"

"So how will you pitch it to your patient??" She said silently as he gave her the baby.

"I think I have a plan for that... Thank you...i'll be back soon!!!" Dr Malik said hurriedly as he rushed out and she turned to Gio who was watching her a lovely smile on his face.
