2nd POV:

You ran directly towards your house.

Lilian had just called you, and she seemed very frantic. "Y/N!" She gasped as you picked up the phone. "Lilian?? Are you alright?!" "Y/N, please get here quick! There were a few houses nearby that collapsed- and our place was affected too... please, I don't know what to do!"

"I'll be there as soon as I can!" You told her, hanging up and running all the way here, where the sight of some collapsed buildings greeted you. Lilian was kneeling a small distance away from the scene, comforting some children. "There there... you're safe..." She tells them, hugging them as they cry into her shoulder.

You approached her. "Lilian! What happened?!" She shook her head. "I don't know, Y/N- it just happened so suddenly, everyone was shocked. Luckily, nobody was hurt during the incident, and they all managed to get out in time..."

Looking around, the whole neighborhood was in a mess. There were many residents of the now collapsed homes helping each other to stand up and evacuate the scene. Some of them refused to move, kneeling in front of their homes- homes that carried so many of their memories. It was heartbreaking.

"Our house collapsed. How will our family of five survive?" One woman carrying her child cried out. "Even if we adults don't eat, we can't allow our children to starve!" Her husband said. Then, he turned to the both of you. "I'm sorry, Lilian, Y/N. The collapse has affected your home too, and we've no way of compensating you..." "We have no money to pay... *sob*... We're really sorry..."

Lilian looked upset, eyes downcast on the floor. She held you hand gently for support, and mumbled, "Have the poor no right to live...?" Ah... I see now. It must have been the poor infrastructure of these houses that caused the collapse. How could they treat the safety of the residents like it was nothing too important??

You stared at your house in the near distance. The family of five were your neighbors, so when their house collapsed, part of your roof was also damaged. Shizzles. But at least it's just the roof. I feel terrible for what happened to them.

"Please, don't apologise; it's not your fault. You're victims too." She tells them. "Don't be sad, there must be a solution! Let's figure it out together!" Though she was trying to lift their spirit, it only caused the woman to look even more miserable. "*sob*... Is there really a solution...? If only a savior would appear and rescue us!"

Huh. If saviors existed... then maybe...

You shook you head. No! Don't think like that! You turned to Lilian, but she was probably thinking about something similar, her expression reflecting yours. "Listen." You tell the couple. "I wish saviors existed. I know it'll be hard, but you'll be able to pick up the pieces. I believe in you, and Lilian and I will be there to help in any way we can- every step of the wa-"
