Racism is a non-existent word on dictionary,

Yet many try to make it more existent.

The world is becoming brutal and miserable,

It's like faith in humanity is slowly disappearing.

People who pour all their hatred on innocent one's,

It just makes the flames impossible to cool down.

Making everything turn to ashes in the ground,

They don't understand the consequences of their words.

The victims, who had to endure the harsh words,

Went back and forth rethinking their existence.

Thereby they decided to do the unimaginable,

While others shrugged off negativity and healed.

In shadows cast by ambient trees,

A relatable tale unfolds upon the breeze.

Of human hearts both kind and cruel,

Where lessons lie for all to emphasize.

Across the lands and seas we span,

Each woman, child and every man.

Within colors bright, in hues of night,

Over seeking truth, our hearts unite.

Yet darkness creeps in whispered lies,

Through ignorance along with judging eyes.

Where hatred brews and marks its stain,

Inflicting souls with silent pain.

Oh racism, the agonising monster we face,

That blinds us to our shared embrace.

It builds its walls, divides our streets,

With prejudice, our love defeats and fades.

Imagine life in other's shoes,

Their battles, fears, their often blues.

For every taunt and spiteful stare,

A heart is shattered, laid bare.

When children learn the world's disdain,

They carry forth that endless chain.

Of hurt and anger, fears unknown,

In hearts where kindness should be grown.

It's not the color of our skin,

But what resides, dwells deep within.
