Among the realm of hearts, where love was once pure,
Lived a tale of affection, that couldn't endure.
A love that promised solace, turned into a toxic cure,
Leaving behind scars, that are too deep to ignore.
In a town veiled by shadows, where the sun's light wanes,
Lived two hearts entwined, bound by invisible chains.
She was a maiden of the night, dressed in sorrow's cloak,
He, a prince of mischief, whose words like venom spoke.
Their meeting was fateful, beneath a crescent moon,
In a garden of thorns, where roses rarely bloom.
She saw in his eyes a promise of escape,
A chance to flee her darkness, to alter her fate.
Once bloomed a flower, in the garden of trust,
With petals of loyalty, in love's fervent gust.
As time unfurled, signs of deceit rose,
Turning the flower to ashes, the love to dust.
He saw in her beauty a canvas pure and white,
To paint with hues of perfervid, in the depths of night.
Their love ignited swiftly, a conflagration wild,
Burning with fierce emotions, intoxicating and beguiled.
He promised the moon, promised the heaven,
Within the symphony of love, beyond earthly bars.
The melody only turned bitter, leaving scars,
A harmony of sorrows, under the silent stars.
But as summer turned to autumn, and leaves began to fall,
The veneer of their affection began to thin and pall.
He whispered sweet deceptions, she believed his every lie,
Each word a drop of poison, as the river of tears ran dry.
She danced in his masked love, hypnotised in his eyes,
A toxic trance, veiled under the skies so gray.
His words of poison, dressed in disguise,
Fed her heart with lies, under love's sake.
Their love was a chalice, brimming with sweet and sour,
Each sip a mix of nectar and poison's hidden power.
She craved his caress, his affection, the warmth of his embrace,
But each caress was laced with a sting she could not erase.
