The night air was cool and crisp as Miyako and Geto continued to discuss their plan. Their conversation was low and intense, fully aware of the risks they were taking. The stakes were too high to ignore, and their resolve only grew stronger with each passing moment.

Miyako pulled out copies of the files she had seen in Yaga's office, spreading them out on a flat rock between them. "These are the names of the sorcerers they're targeting," she said, pointing to the list. "They've labelled them as threats to the stability of the jujutsu society. But we both know what that really means."

Geto scanned the list, his eyes narrowing. "These are good people," he said, his voice tinged with anger. "People who have dedicated their lives to protecting others. The higher-ups are willing to sacrifice them to maintain their power."

Miyako nodded. "We need to warn them. But we can't do it openly. If the higher-ups find out, they'll act even more quickly to eliminate them."

Geto thought for a moment, then looked up at Miyako. "I have contacts who can help. People who are sympathetic to our cause. We can get messages to these sorcerers discreetly, warn them to go into hiding."

Miyako felt a flicker of hope. "That might work. But we also need to gather more evidence, something concrete that we can use to expose the higher-ups publicly. These files are a start, but we need more."

Geto nodded. "We'll need to be careful. The higher-ups will be watching us closely. But if we can gather enough evidence, we can force their hand. Make them answer for their actions."

Miyako's determination hardened into a steely resolve. "Let's do it, then. We'll gather the evidence, warn the targets, and expose the truth. No matter what it takes."

The days that followed were a blur of secret meetings and covert operations. Miyako and Geto worked tirelessly, using every resource at their disposal to gather information and warn the targeted sorcerers. It was a delicate balancing act, requiring constant vigilance and unwavering trust.

Miyako and Geto identified several sorcerers who were at risk. They divided the list, each taking responsibility for reaching out to specific individuals.

Miyako's first stop was the residence of Hina Okada, a healer known for her compassion and skill. Hina was a valued member of the jujutsu society, but her tendency to question orders had put her on the higher-ups' radar.

Miyako approached Hina's secluded cottage under the cover of night. She knocked softly, glancing around to ensure she wasn't being followed. The door opened, and Hina's eyes widened in surprise.

"Miyako? What are you doing here?" Hina asked, her voice hushed.

"May I come in?" Miyako replied. "I need to talk to you. It's important."

Hina nodded and stepped aside, allowing Miyako to enter. Inside, the cottage was warm and cozy, a stark contrast to the tension outside.

"What's going on?" Hina asked once they were seated.

Miyako took a deep breath. "You're in danger, Hina. The higher-ups have targeted you. They're labelling you as a threat to the stability of the jujutsu society."

Hina's face paled. "Why? I've done nothing but follow orders and help others."

Miyako placed a hand on Hina's. "I know. But questioning the higher-ups' decisions has made you a target. You need to go into hiding. Lie low until we can expose what's really going on."

Hina looked conflicted, fear and determination warring in her eyes. "But what about my patients? They need me."

"I understand," Miyako said gently. "But if you stay, you'll be putting yourself and them at risk. Please, Hina. Trust me."
