The night was quiet, the only sounds being the soft rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. Satoru's senses were on high alert as he followed Miyako, keeping a safe distance to avoid detection. He moved silently, his presence blending seamlessly with the shadows. His heart pounded in his chest, each beat a reminder of the gravity of what he might discover.

Miyako's path took her deep into the woods surrounding Jujutsu High. She moved with a purpose, her steps deliberate. Satoru watched as she approached a clearing, only to stop abruptly. She stood there for a moment, looking around, then turned, and headed in a different direction.

Satoru's brow furrowed in confusion. Why had she changed course so suddenly? He continued to follow her, his mind racing with possibilities. After a few minutes, she came to another clearing, but this time, she simply stood there, alone.

He watched her for a while, hidden behind a tree. She seemed to be waiting for someone, but no one else appeared. After what felt like an eternity, Miyako turned and began to walk back towards the school. Satoru waited until she was out of sight before heading back himself.

The next morning, Satoru found Miyako in the common area. She was sipping tea, her expression serene. "Morning, Miyako," he greeted, his voice casual.

"Morning, Satoru," she replied with a smile. "How did you sleep?"

"Well enough," he said, watching her closely. "What about you? Did you go out for another walk last night?"

Miyako nodded, her smile unwavering. "Yes, I did. It helps me clear my head."

Satoru nodded, though his doubts lingered. "Glad to hear it."

Everything seemed normal, but a small voice in the back of his mind told him something was off. As the day went on, he couldn't shake the feeling that Miyako was hiding something.

Later that afternoon, Miyako realised her phone was missing. She retraced her steps, a growing sense of dread filling her. The last place she remembered having it was in Satoru's room. Her heart raced as she made her way there, praying it was still where she had left it.

When she entered Satoru's room, her blood ran cold. Satoru was standing by his desk, her phone in his hand. His expression was a mix of anger and hurt.

"Satoru," she began, her voice shaky. "I can explain."

Satoru held up the phone, the screen displaying her recent messages with Geto. "You've been lying to me, Miyako. You've been working with Geto this whole time."

Miyako's mind raced, searching for an explanation that could make this right. "Satoru, please, it's not what you think."

His eyes blazed with anger. "Then what is it, Miyako? Because it looks like you've betrayed us. Betrayed me."

Tears welled up in her eyes. "I didn't want this, Satoru. I was trying to find a way to expose the corruption within the jujutsu society. Geto has evidence, and I thought... I thought it was the only way."

Satoru's expression softened for a moment, but then hardened again. "You should have come to me. We could have found another way."

Miyako shook her head, her tears falling freely now. "I couldn't risk it. I couldn't put you in danger."

He took a step towards her, his voice cold. "Miyako, you may be my sister, but you've betrayed everyone here. I have to report this to the higher-ups."

Panic surged through her. "No, Satoru, please. If you report this, they'll kill me."

He looked at her, his eyes filled with sadness. "I'm sorry, Miyako. But you made your choice."

Desperation took over. Before she could think, Miyako acted. She moved quickly, striking Satoru in a pressure point that caused him to lose consciousness. As he fell to the floor, she felt a pang of guilt, but she knew she had no other choice.

With shaking hands, Miyako called Geto. "Suguru, it's Miyako. Satoru found out. He knows everything."

Geto's voice was calm, but firm. "Bring him to the meeting spot. I'll have someone there who can help."

Miyako nodded, though Geto couldn't see her. "I'm on my way."

She hung up and knelt beside Satoru, her heart aching. "I'm so sorry, Satoru," she whispered. "But I can't let them kill me."

She lifted him carefully, using her sorcery to ease the burden. As she made her way to the meeting spot, the weight of her actions bore down on her. She was betraying her brother, her friends, everything she had ever known. But she couldn't see any other way out.

When she reached the clearing, Geto was already there, accompanied by a sorcerer Miyako didn't recognize. The man had an aura of power and calm, his eyes sharp and assessing.

"This is him?" the sorcerer asked, glancing at Satoru.

Miyako nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes. Please, can you help him?"

The sorcerer nodded and knelt beside Satoru, placing his hands on his temples. A soft glow emanated from his hands, and Miyako watched in awe and fear as the man's magic began to work. Satoru's face relaxed, the tension easing from his features.

"It's done," the sorcerer said, standing up. "He won't remember anything about your involvement with Geto. But you need to be careful. His mind will be fragile for a while."

Miyako thanked him, her heart heavy with a mix of relief and sorrow. She had saved Satoru, but at what cost? As she and Geto carried Satoru back to Jujutsu High, she couldn't shake the feeling that the walls were closing in, and their time was running out.

The next morning, Satoru woke in his room, a dull ache in his head. He blinked, trying to remember how he had got there. The last thing he recalled was talking to Miyako. Everything after that was a blur.

Miyako stood by his bedside, her expression carefully composed. "You're awake," she said softly. "You collapsed last night. The stress must be getting to you."

Satoru frowned, trying to piece together the fragments of his memory. "I don't remember much. Just... talking to you."

Miyako forced a smile, her heart aching with the weight of her deception. "You need to rest, Satoru. Everything will be fine."

As he drifted back to sleep, Miyako turned away, her mind racing. She had managed to protect their secrets for now, but the clock was ticking. She needed to find a way to end this, to expose the corruption without losing everything she held dear.

And she knew that her next steps would be the most dangerous yet.
