Miyako moved silently through the corridors of Jujutsu High, her heart heavy with the weight of her secrets. She knew that every step she took, every glance she cast, was being scrutinized. The higher-ups were watching her closely, and Satoru's suspicion was growing by the day.

She had to be careful, had to maintain the facade. But as the days passed, she felt the walls closing in. Every night, she would slip away, meeting with Geto and his associates to further their plans. It was a dangerous game, and one mistake could unravel everything.

Tonight was no different. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the courtyard, Miyako made her way towards the school's perimeter. She moved with practised ease, slipping through the gaps in the patrols, her movements fluid and silent.

But as she reached the edge of the grounds, a voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Miyako."

She turned, her heart pounding, to see Satoru standing there, his expression a mix of concern and suspicion. His white hair gleamed in the moonlight, and his eyes were hidden behind his usual blindfold. "Satoru," she greeted, forcing a smile. "What are you doing out here?"

He stepped closer, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I could ask you the same thing. You've been disappearing every night for the past week. Where are you going?"

Miyako's mind raced, searching for an excuse that would satisfy his curiosity without revealing the truth. "I... I've been feeling restless lately. With everything that's been happening, I needed some time to clear my head."

Satoru's gaze remained fixed on her, his expression unreadable. "Clearing your head? Every night?"

She nodded, hoping her nervousness didn't show. "Yes. It's the only time I can really think. Everything feels so chaotic during the day."

He studied her for a moment longer before finally nodding. "Alright. But if you need to talk, you know you can come to me, right?"

Miyako felt a pang of guilt. "I know. Thank you, Satoru."

With a final glance, Satoru turned and walked away, leaving Miyako to continue on her path. She felt the weight of his suspicion lingering in the air, a reminder that her actions were under constant scrutiny.

The next day, Satoru couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. He trusted Miyako, but her behaviour had been strange, and her explanations didn't quite add up. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he began to investigate Geto more thoroughly.

He started with the documents Miyako had given him, poring over every detail, every piece of evidence. The files were stacked high on his desk, a chaotic mess of papers and photographs. The more he looked, the more inconsistencies he found. Some information seemed genuine, but other parts didn't make sense, as if they had been selectively chosen to paint a particular picture.

Satoru's doubts grew. Was Miyako lying to him? Or was she being manipulated by someone else? The questions gnawed at him, and he knew he needed to find answers.

Determined, he delved deeper into Geto's past, looking for any clues that might explain the discrepancies. He visited old mission sites, talked to sorcerers who had worked with Geto, and reviewed records that had long been forgotten. The conversations were tense, filled with wary glances and hushed tones. Geto's name was a shadow that loomed over everything.

It was during one of these investigations that he found something that didn't fit. A report from a mission years ago, detailing an encounter with a group of rogue sorcerers. The details matched the stories Miyako had told him, but there was one crucial difference: the timing. The events described in the report had taken place before Geto's supposed turn to darkness.

Satoru's mind raced. If the timing was off, then either the report was wrong, or Miyako had been fed false information. He couldn't believe that Miyako would lie to him, not intentionally. But the possibility that she was being used by Geto was too real to ignore.

As the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, Satoru made a decision. He needed to confront Miyako, but he also needed to be prepared. If she was involved in something dangerous, he had to know the full extent of it.

---

That night, Miyako slipped away once more, her movements careful and deliberate. She couldn't afford to be seen, not now. The information she had uncovered about the higher-ups' new mission was too important.

The night air was cool against her skin as she made her way to the secluded meeting point. The sky was a deep indigo, dotted with stars that seemed to shimmer with an ethereal light. The surrounding trees whispered in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly. She moved quickly, her footsteps barely making a sound on the soft earth.

She reached the meeting point where Geto was waiting, his expression serious. The flickering light from a lantern cast shadows on his face, highlighting the tension in his features. "Did you bring it?" he asked.

Miyako nodded, handing him a small flash drive. "Everything I could find. The mission details, the locations, the targets. They're planning something big, Suguru. We need to warn them."

Geto's eyes scanned the contents of the drive, his expression growing darker with each passing moment. "This is worse than I thought. We need to move quickly."

Miyako felt a surge of determination. "I'll do whatever it takes. We can't let them carry out this mission."

Geto nodded, his eyes meeting hers. "You're doing the right thing, Miyako. This is bigger than any of us."

Back at Jujutsu High, Satoru sat alone in his room, the pieces of his plan falling into place. His room was dimly lit, the soft glow from a lamp casting long shadows on the walls. The documents and photographs he had gathered lay scattered around him, a testament to his relentless pursuit of the truth. He had decided to follow Miyako, to see for himself where she was going and what she was doing. He couldn't rely on second-hand information any longer.

As he prepared for the night, he couldn't shake the feeling of dread that settled over him. If Miyako was involved in something dangerous, he had to be ready to act. And if Geto was behind it, then Satoru would have to face him head-on.

The next night, he would follow her. And then, he would finally know the truth.
