"I think my Dad's going crazy," The night had already fallen, and everyone was in their cells, peacefully sleeping or just lying there, unable to sleep. Carmen stared at the ceiling, and Carl was lying on the lower bunk bed, staring at the strand of her hair over the edge.

Carmen leaned over the edge, sticking her hair down so Carl could see her. Her hair also hung down as she stared at Carl. "If it helps, Rick was always crazy." Carl rolled his eyes and leaned up on her elbows.

"It doesn't," They fell into the silence again, just staring at each other, Carmen blinking occasionally.

"I think my blood is goin' into my brain," She broke the silence with a whisper.

"Do you even have a brain or just a peanut in your skull?" Carl raised his brows sassily, and Carmen just stared at him with a blank expression before taking her pillow and smacking him in the face.

...

Dorothy and Carmen were outside by the gate, keeping watch. They didn't see Rick all morning, and Glenn was going crazy trying to clear out the prison from Walkers. Carmen could sense some tension between him and Maggie, who, along with Dottie, looked so much more distant and hurt. Carmen couldn't figure out what happened, but she was trying to.

"Do you think Rick's gonna make us leave?" Dorothy asked from where she was leaning against the wall while Carmen was slowly pacing around.

"I don't know. Maybe he'll warm up to you guys," Carmen shrugged, making Dottie scoff.

"I doubt it. Michonne and him are always at each other's throats." Dorothy kicked the pebbles on the ground before adding. "And I think I'm his arch-nemesis, so." Carmen looked at her before turning her head back outside the fence. "Do you have a Dad?"

Carmine stopped walking and looked at Dorothy with a confused expression. "Don't know why you ask, but no, I was just magically formed in my Mom's stomach."

"Yeah, okay, Smartass," Dorothy smirked and rolled his eyes. "I was just asking. No need to be so sassy."

"Well, why are you askin'?" Carmen asked.

"I was curious." Dorothy shrugged. "You know, I used to have a neighbor back in Virginia who used to kill and skin squirrels in his backyard."

"Wha-" Carmen sighed in confusion. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"It doesn't. I just wanted to tell somebody."

...

"Okay, never have I ever..." Dorothy hummed, thinking about what she should ask. Dorothy and Carmen sat on the floor, passing Dorothy's stress ball to each other, and played 'Never Have I Ever'. "Never have I ever been handcuffed."

"Only once," Carmen said, passing the ball to Dorothy.

"I've been handcuffed only two times. One time after I accidentally attacked the police officer, thinking he was a burglar, and another time was when my uncle got arrested, and I tried to defend him, so they handcuffed me too," Dorothy explained. "What about you?"

"Got into this very bad fight in the neighborhood, and I kept punchin' this boy, not realizing it was a police officer tryin' to pull me away, so when he finally did, he handcuffed me so I would try to fight him off," Carmen explained, shrugging slightly. "Wait, why was the police in yer house, and how can you mistake them for burglars?"

"It was afternoon, and I was napping on my couch. Something bad happened outside my house- which my family surprisingly wasn't involved in -and the police came to take a report. My Mom let the officer try to wake me up, but I was having one of those really good naps where when you wake up, you don't know what's happening." Dorothy started. "So, when he woke me up, he startled me, and I jumped on him, so he cuffed me because he got scared."
