BLUE OF THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF THE OCEAN CLASHED WITH BLUE SO CLEAR ONLY AN AQUAMARINE COULD COMPETE. Ayumu could only see his blindfold, but Gojo saw every feature of the Okamoto's. Ayumu needed to squirm or shiver under the older male's gaze he could not see but feel. He could never tell what he was thinking, Gojo always had an aloof look or one of no emotion. He wanted to see what his face looked like when he was in danger and when he no longer felt like he had the upper hand. Ayumu's weight shifted from one foot to another. An action that Gojo easily caught.
"As much as I like to fight, I think we have a common enemy," Gojo stated, his mouth forming a thin tight line. More information would be given if Ayumu acts as Gojo wants.
"You are my enemy," He responded, his eyes narrowed as he looked the opposing man's figure up and down. He was trying to catch a hint of movement so he could retaliate. Gojo's mouth formed into a frown, but he anticipated this type of reaction.
"I admire your clan, because I, too want the higher-ups dead. All of them,"
That was not the sentence Ayumu was fathoming Jujutsu's star boy would say. He could almost laugh at how comical it sounded. He could not keep it in anymore, his shoulder shook and his throat was bubbly before he hunched over and started laughing into the night.
Gojo stared at him through his blindfold and was confused. Sure, people may not think the face and protector of Jujutsu's sorcerers would say something like that, but was it that funny?
Ayumu composed himself as he stood up straight again. He did not believe Gojo Satoru one bit, what did he take him for? A fool? Ayumu is no fool because he already knew he owed the Six Eyes user a favor. Would a fool come to terms with that?
Fools are people who fall into gambling. Into massive amounts of debt. Into the society of Jujutsu sorcerers.
Ayumu is no fool. He swallowed his spit trying to ease the discomfort of his drying throat in the cool stagnant air of the night.
Was Gojo a fool? The supposed strongest, chosen, honored one fell for the lies fed to him by the higher-ups.
"This is no joke, I believe in their corruptness. I have seen it with my own eyes. Innocent people die you know?" If Ayumu could see his azure eyes he could have caught the glimpse of sorrow and remorse. Watching a life be taken away so easily never getting to make another choice in how they want to live their life will never be easy.
People die all the time.
Would Ayumu's sister die? Due to getting caught one-day playing spy? At the hands of someone like Gojo Satoru?
Ayumu paled.
A treacherous thought entered his mind, would Kazumi die due to the desperate nature of his clan to complete the possession ritual? Being separated from everyone else meant stagnant progress, their ways have not changed.
