"LET ME EXPLAIN," Ayumu tried to reason with his father. The older male in front of him with eerily similar features shook his head in disappointment.

"Do I have to remind you, you got caught?" He reprimanded him, tone icy and voice rising. Kazumi looked between the two of them, feeling insignificant in their argument. Ayumu had them appear in the living room back at home protected from whoever would be after them by the mountains surrounding them. They were instantly greeted by their father who had his arms crossed over his chest and appeared to be waiting for them.

Ayumu gritted his teeth trying to bite words of defiance before they came out of his mouth. He bowed his head down as he shook it in reply. The older male who was almost a mirror of Ayumu scrunched his nose in disgust and frustration as he stared at his son. His son failed what he was tasked with and risked the future of their people at the same time. Ayumu's thoughts swirled in his head bitter dark ones that came up with various ways he would be punished for his actions. The ways he should be punished for what he has done. Kazumi felt a shiver go up her back in fear for her brother but then she felt confusion laced with anger, just what the hell had Ayumu been tasked with? The leading Okamoto sighed and rubbed his palm down his face in frustration. After finding the smallest amount of patience and composure he made eye contact with his unruly son.

"Get out of here, make yourself presentable then we will all discuss this." He said then sauntered off, leaving out the front door and somehow not slamming it shut in his anger. The two Okamoto siblings made eye contact and Kazumi narrowed her eyes at her brother. No words needed to be spoken to convey that she knew he was hiding something from her. Something Ayumu thought she had no business in knowing. Tension in the air they did not speak as they walked shoulder to shoulder down the hall that would lead them to their respective rooms.

Kazumi looked over her shoulder before opening the door to her room, Ayumu did not look back at her. She entered her room with too many questions swirling in her head.

Ayumu was late. He was blatantly rebelling and disrespecting the clan head in this move of his. He was in no rush though. The sun would begin to set soon but he knew they would wait for him no matter how long he took. He would come up with something in his head.

All that replayed in his head as he sat on the left corner of his bed were the moments leading up to their "travel" home. That damned Gojo Satoru let us go. He concluded. That did not ease the discomfort, or was it paranoia in his stomach? He wanted to think the strongest sorcerer saw them, no, him as a threat to his society and most importantly the pink-haired boy. That did not align with what he learned about him, he would always go against the will of the higher-ups. He heard the rumors about the Gojo clan heir going against the wishes of the higher-ups.  Logic told him that Gojo did not see him as a threat, not against Sukuna's vessel, and not against himself. Ayumu was not daft, he knew Gojo was stronger and now he was more inclined to be convinced that Kazumi and him were spared.
