AYUMU OKAMOTO WAS TIRED BY THE TIME HE GOT TO HIS DESTINATION. He had been clearing out curses from alleyways and needed something in his stomach to reward his hard work before he collapsed from exhaustion. He had his sister's belongings that she had forgotten in their shared apartment in Tokyo.
Opening the door to the pub his sister said he could find her in he did not expect three people clad in Jujutsu High uniforms sitting next to her. As he walked closer he noted their disheveled appearances, they were far from Kyoto so these had to be from the Tokyo branch.
"...eh?.. Zumi, what are you doing?" he asked when he got right next to the group of four teenagers.
She knew what he meant. To the other three, they thought she was being scolded for talking to strangers, for being out so late at night, or for not letting him know where she was. The question meant something else for Kazumi, she knew she should not be what she was doing. It was frowned upon, but when did someone like Ayumu care about things like sticking to the book?
Kazumi's eyes widened and she stumbled off her barstool frantically waving her hands and whisper-yelling that was accompanied by her signing what she was saying as well. Ayumu was half-listening as his hands searched his bag reaching for what could be helpful. He held his hand out to Kazumi, in his hands were her confidence booster.
Once she had put her hearing aids in her ear she tapped the buttons behind her ear to increase the volume and once she was happy she started to test it by repeating hello to make sure she could hear her voice clearly. It was tough due to the loudness of her environment but she decided to bear it so she could hopefully impress the strangers that had "helped" her.
The three teenage boys stared at the two in front of them, none knew what to say or what to do.
After confirming she could adequately hear what she was saying, she turned to the three boys, making eye contact with them stopped her though, she was nervous. "...Thank you," she paused to gauge their reactions.
Inumaki and Itadori looked at her excitedly, Yuji nodding his head encouraging her to go on. Kazumi could not tell what Fushiguro was thinking, his neutral expression was very hard to read.
"Uh... that's not what I wanted," She said with a small laugh pointing to the forgotten drink on the counter. Itadori reddened, Inumaki laughed at him, and Fushiguro's lips curled up ever so slightly. This was missed by the people around him.
"What is that?" Ayumu questioned the four, he found it awkward to be the only one out of the loop. "A se--" Itadori's sentence was cut short when Fushiguro sent his fist down on his head. "It was not touched," he said for Itadori.
Ayumu nodded with his brow raised, sending a questioning glance to the younger Okamoto. She only stared at the two best friends with stars in her eyes, she found them amusing. She decided she had made the right choice in intervening during their mission.
