Bonds of Gratitude

Lin Yu and Xu Wei led the rescued villagers back to their village. As they approached, the air was filled with anticipation and anxiety.

The villagers, having spent days in fear and despair, were desperate to see their loved ones.

The moment they entered the village, there was a collective gasp. Families rushed forward, crying out names and embracing their loved ones. Tears flowed freely as relief and joy replaced the earlier dread.

"Thank you, thank you!" A middle-aged woman sobbed as she hugged her daughter, who had been among the captives. "How can we ever repay you?"

Lin Yu smiled gently. "Your blessings are more precious than anything else. Just give us that."

His words moved the villagers deeply, bringing tears to many eyes. They surrounded the two cultivators, expressing their gratitude repeatedly.

"You've saved our lives and our village," the village headman said, his voice choked with emotion. "Please, stay the night and allow us to show our appreciation."

Xu Wei, who usually preferred to remain reserved, nodded. "We would be honored."

The villagers quickly prepared the best house in the village for their heroes, which also happened to belong to the village headman. They were offered a sumptuous dinner, filled with local delicacies. Lin Yu and Xu Wei ate heartily, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten amidst the warmth and gratitude of the villagers.

After dinner, the headman guided them to a spacious, clean room at the back of the house. It was a single-story house, and the room had one large bed.

"Rest well," the headman said, bowing before he left them.

Xu Wei looked around the room and then at the bed. "I'll take the floor. You can have the bed."

Lin Yu shook his head. "No, I'll take the floor."

Xu Wei sighed, then smiled slightly. "The bed is big enough for both of us. We can share."

Lin Yu, feeling the weariness of the day's events, nodded. He drank some water, moved to the inner side of the bed, and quickly fell asleep. Xu Wei, still needing to cultivate, sat in a meditative pose on the bed. He watched Lin Yu for a while, his thoughts churning.

At first, it had been Lin Yu's character that had impressed him. But gradually, deeper feelings had started to form in Xu Wei's heart. He knew that he was not just kind and stoic as everyone believed. He had a possessive side, a part of him that was demanding and controlling. And now, that side of him was emerging, driven by his feelings for Lin Yu.

Opening his eyes, Xu Wei felt a different energy course through him. He cast a silent spell around the room to ensure their privacy. Moving towards Lin Yu, he gently pressed some acupuncture points to ensure his sleep was deep and peaceful. Lin Yu's relaxed, untroubled expression stirred something deep within Xu Wei.

He picked up Lin Yu and hugged him tightly, savoring the contact. Brushing back Lin Yu's loose hair, he felt a mix of tenderness and desire. He knew that what he was doing might not be right, but he couldn't help himself. The fear that Lin Yu might reject him if he knew this side of him gnawed at his mind.

Xu Wei kissed Lin Yu's cheek lightly, then his eyes and forehead. He kissed Lin Yu's hand and placed his head on Lin Yu's shoulder, taking a deep breath. The scent of Lin Yu calmed him and made him feel possessive. After a long while, he lay down on the bed, holding Lin Yu in his arms and staring at his beautiful face. Pink lips enticing him, long eyelashes, and smooth skin—Lin Yu was perfect to him.

He hesitantly leans forward and brushed his lips over Lin yu parted lips. As if hipnotised he slowly slowly  kiss Lin yu, the sweet taste fills his mouth.As he was moving backward Suddenly Lin yu licks his lip he deepened the kiss and opened Lin yu mouth savouring every part of Lin yu mouth till Lin yu was breathless.

He positioned Lin Yu's head near his heart, knowing that if Lin Yu were awake, he could hear the rapid beating. "Lin Yu... my Lin Yu," Xu Wei whispered, a determination setting in his mind. This was the best day of his life, and he was resolved to protect and cherish Lin Yu always.

With Lin Yu in his arms, Xu Wei closed his eyes, feeling a sense of contentment and purpose like never before.
