At what cost. Part 1 of 2

It's been months since Jessica finally left Savannah for good, she got her settlement, and Quincy's divorce is finalized, just when we thought things were going our way Pie called and asked to meet with me. I agreed, we never really talked since that day he asked me to leave our home, I told Quincy about us meeting he had a look on his face, I told him don't worry we're together now and I think Pie just wants closure.

 Bae said he trusted me and go and see what Pie wanted, I kissed him and left, we met at the Alexander hotel, as soon as I walked in, I saw Pie he looked great, but he always did, I walked over to where he was sitting, he started to stand up I told him no need for that and I sat down.

 Pie said I looked great, in fact I look happy, I told him I am, not that I wasn't with him, he said let's not go there or we would still be together, I asked him why he wanted to see me.

James, I've been thinking about us, what went wrong, was I not enough for you, he said it was all his fault never think I did anything wrong; we had some good years and deep down he felt that we came as far as we could. I told him I didn't understand that I thought our love was forever, he said nothing is forever he had to learn it the hard way. I asked him now that Quincy's divorce is finalized are they planning on getting married.

 Pie don't do that to yourself, he said he can take it, I told him we do have plans, but we're not going to rush into anything and we're not thinking about having kids if we do get married. Pie said he always wanted kids and I gave in to him even though Manny was grown, he said he loves our kids, I said even Sabrina, he said in spite of what she did she's still his daughter and he can't hate her, he might not like the things she did, but a parent loves their child.

 He did ask me how I knew about Quincy's divorce being finalized, I told him Sabrina told me, he said she needs to stay out of what they do just like he's leaving her life alone. I told James I've moved on with my life and I've met someone, he said good for me all he ever wanted was for me to be happy. I told him I wish my mother felt that way, the man I met doesn't have money and he knows how my mother feels about that.

 Pie it's not about your mother you have to get from under her and be happy, he asked was that another reason why we're not together because of his mother, I told him it was me, he said I can take the blame for us not being together, but part of it was him always putting the kids first, and he still does it with Sabrina even though he knows she's not right, his phone rang and he said it's his mom, I said no doubt she knows we're together and wants him to get away from me.

Pie answered the call and told his mom not now, he said what! he's headed back to Paris, he said damn, I asked him what's wrong, he looked at me and said it's Sabrina, I asked him what's going on with her, he asked me did I really care, I told him she's still my daughter.

Pie said she's just having some problems he'll take care of it; he got up and left, with Sabrina who knows what drama she has going on, I just went back home, when I got there, I told Quincy what Pie and I talked about, he thanked me for telling him, I told him I'd never keep anything from him. The doorbell rang, Lee answered the door.

Chandler and Keith came into the room, Chandler said good I'm back from meeting with Pie, he said so am I going to help with Sabrina's case. I asked what case, what is he talking about. Chandler said his grandmother called him and wants the family to come to Paris and help Sabrina he thought Pie told me that Sabrina was arrested for trying to kill Paul.

I told him his dad didn't tell me that, I looked at Quincy, Chandler said he knows the things Sabrina did to me, he wouldn't blame me if I didn't help her, Quincy said I'll help and we can take one of his family's private jets, I said he's coming with us. Chandler said they'll go home and pack and meet us back here, they left, and I thanked Quincy, he said I'm his man and he will always have my back, we went upstairs, and bae made a call while I packed.

 Nothing Sabrina does surprises me, so much for her happy marriage if she tried to kill Paul, Quincy got off the phone and said the jet will be ready for us when we get to the airport, he said funny how things turn out all the things Paul and Sabrina have been through in there lives, and she tries to kill him. I told him my daughter should've went to another place after she got out of that school, and now she's no better.

 Quincy packed a bag, and I went downstairs and told Lee we'll be going away for a while, we'll be in Paris, he said he'll keep an eye on things until we get back, Chandler and Keith came back, and Manny and Jamie were with them, I told Manny I'm sorry I forgot to call him, he said it's okay with what's going on he understands. I hugged Jamie, he asked me have we heard anymore news about Sabrina, I told him nothing else.

 Quincy came down and spoke to everyone and we left, Bash pulled up, and I told him what happened, he said he can fly there in a few days, I told him he doesn't have to, he said this is family business he'll be there, I hugged him, and we left. Just when things are getting better and now this.

 We arrived at the private airport and boarded the jet, this can't be anything but trouble, the Alexanders are powerful and so are the Witfield's, I hope this doesn't put Quincy and I in the middle of this mess. We were clear for take-off, and I saw an Alexander jet and Dexter was boarding it, damn could he be on the way to Paris too.
