Chapter 4

Jennie and Taehyung were locked in a tense stare, the air between them thick with unresolved emotions. Taehyung's eyes blazed with a passionate anger, while Jennie's gaze held a hint of confusion and hurt. She finally broke the silence, her voice trembling with a mixture of indignation and pain.

"Do you really think, Taehyung, that I would ever share a company secret with someone like Kai? Where is your trust in me?" Jennie's question hung in the air, demanding an answer.

Taehyung's face twisted with frustration as he replied, "Kai himself told me all this."

Jennie’s eyes widened, disbelief mingling with the confusion in her expression. "And you trusted him more than me?" she questioned, her voice rising in pitch. The hurt was palpable, echoing in the space between them.

"Yes, I trust him more than you," Taehyung shot back, his voice harsh and unyielding. "Because the things you have done to me before were not acceptable."

Jennie recoiled slightly, her eyes narrowing as she tried to make sense of his words. "What have I done, Taehyung? What could possibly be so unforgivable that you would believe someone else over me?"

Flashback ~

Lisa came running into the house, breathless and anxious. Everyone was seated around the dining table, enjoying their breakfast. She burst into the dining room, eyes wide with urgency.

"I found out something," Lisa announced, trying to catch her breath. "Someone is planning against all of us, and I think..." She hesitated, looking around at her family members. "I think they are from the family."

There was a moment of stunned silence. Then, Jin, who was always quick to anger, stood up abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor. "Really, Lisa? Are you out of your mind? We are family! We don't plan against each other. Now I think you are the one trying to break the family."

Lisa's heart sank at his harsh words. She felt hurt and disappointed. "Sorry, but I said what I heard. Please trust me before everything is ruined. Look at Taehyung and Jennie—they're already misunderstanding each other. Rosé and Jimin are constantly in conflict. Isn't this unusual? Why is everyone changing all of a sudden?"

Taehyung, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "The problems between Jennie and me are because of us. No one else is involved." He stood up and left the dining room, clearly frustrated.

One by one, everyone else followed suit, leaving Lisa feeling alone and misunderstood. Jennie was the last to leave. She walked over to Lisa and gently patted her shoulder. "It's okay," Jennie said softly. "Get some proof and come back. Then we can talk."

Lisa managed a weak smile, grateful for the small comfort. Her husband, Jungkook, who had been quietly observing the whole scene, stepped forward to support her. "We'll figure this out together," he assured her.

With everyone gone, Lisa sat down, her mind racing with thoughts. She knew she had to find proof of the conspiracy before it tore their family apart. As she sipped her now cold tea, she felt a renewed determination. She couldn't let her family fall apart like this. She had to uncover the truth, no matter how difficult it would be.

Lisa knew it wouldn't be easy, but with Jungkook by her side and the possibility of Jennie's support, she felt a glimmer of hope. She resolved to find out who was behind the scheming and bring peace back to her family.
End of flashback ~

Lisa was brought back to reality by her husband Jung kook.
"What are you thinking my love?", Jung kook asked with concern as Lisa was looking stressed.

Lisa replied," Nothing, knowing that my family is in danger I can't do anything ".
"We will figure it out soon", jungkook said as he saw a tear falling from her eyes.

Rosé was in deep frustration thinking about her husband, Jimin, who had been going through a tough time recently. First, Taehyung removed him from the business, and now his mother seemed to have excluded him from the house and property. Desperate to understand why, Rosé decided to confront Jimin’s mom. She left for her room and knocked on the door.

Jimin’s mom opened the door and greeted her sweetly, but Rosé, overwhelmed with stress and frustration, immediately started talking. "Mom, how can you do this to Jimin? Even if he is not your real son, he has loved you so much, cared for you, and respected you. What are you giving him in return?" she exclaimed.

Jimin’s mom looked confused. "I know how much Jimin loves me, and I have always considered him my real son. I don’t understand what you are trying to say. Talk openly, Rosé," she responded.

Rosé, with tears forming in her eyes, softened her voice and continued, "Really, mom? You don't know anything? You decided to divide the property, and there's no share for Jimin. Why, mom?"

Jimin’s mom was shocked by Rosé’s confession. "Are you out of your mind? I have made no such division, and I have no property. Everything belongs to Jin. Nobody has access to it, and there is no division in the property. I don’t know what you are trying to say," she explained.

This revelation shocked Rosé. She remembered a call she had received where someone said the property had been divided. Before she could say anything else, a thought struck her. She hurried to Lisa's room, opened the door harshly, and screamed, "Lisa, you were right! Someone is planning against us!"

Lisa's eyes brightened with a new ray of hope as she listened to Rosé.
