In an attempt to ignore the void he felt after Fang left, Tan immediately looked for something to do. First he cleaned the house, then he made a list of all the groceries he had to buy the next day, however he soon ran out of errands and ended up sitting on the sofa, scrolling on his phone until it was time for his student to arrive.
It was finally time for the lesson, however the student was nowhere to be found. Maybe he got sick and had to cancel the lesson? But he would have called to inform Tan, right? Maybe he got involved in a car accident! No, it was probably just stuck in the usual traffic jam of the city. He just had to keep calm. Five minutes after the time they set for the lesson, the doorbell finally rang. Tan rushed to the entrance and opened the door.
"Good morning, I was getting a little worried, enter" Tan said in one breath while he was opening the door. Tan didn't know much about his student: Chain knew a freshman that needed help, and since Tan's friend were too busy with their new jobs to fit private lessons into their schedules, Tan stepped in. When he finally looked at the student, he was a little surprised to see someone that handsome.
"Please, accept my apology, the traffic today was a nightmare. P'Tan? P'Tan? May I come in?" the guy started with a very polite tone, but then it switched to a more confused one as it looked like Tan wasn't really understanding his words since he didn't respond.
"N... Nevermind, enter, let's get started" Tan finally replied. He led him to the living room, they sat down and Tan started commenting the list of topics that his student provided, so that they could organize the lessons to the needs of the student. After that, the lesson proceeded smoothly.
After his student left, Tan wondered if Fang could get jealous of him. At first the idea of Fang getting all nervous because of someone else flirting with Tan was quite hilarious, but this feeling changed almost immediately as Tan realized that his boyfriend had much better chance to meet attractive and intelligent people at work.
Those thoughts were leading nowhere, so instead of wasting more time, Tan remembered Fang's words and sent his CV to as many companies as he could find. When he looked back at the clock, he saw that it was lunch time. Fang mentioned half an hour of lunch break, so a part of Tan hoped to receive a phone call or at least a message saying "I miss you", but after the thirty minutes had passed, he had to convince himself that Fang was simply too busy for that.
"Fang?" Tan said as he heard the sound of a notification on his phone. He picked it up and found a message. To his surprise it was Beer.
"Don't you want to thank Chain for finding such a hottie for you?" Beer texted teasingly.
"I don't know what you're talking about"
"Don't act so innocently, I was passing by your condo and I saw you two. You should have seen your face, you were undressing him with your eyes"
"..."
"Do as you please, but be careful, you know that Phum may not appreciate to have a cheater as his brother in law" Beer added, although he finished the message with a few emojis, just to make sure that it was obvious it was all just a joke. After all, everyone in the group knew how obsessed Tan was with Fang.
