When Fang came back home, he already knew everything about the argument between his boyfriend and Fai. Their neighbor felt so bad and guilty for assuming that Tan could be cheating on Fang and for making him feel so uncomfortable to the point of forcing him to tell her about Mark's assault, that she texted Fang a few hours later to inform him about the argument and to apologize for it.

Tan was on the couch, he was obviously annoyed, but as soon as Fang arrived, he turned to him to rushed to hug him. Fang hugged him back and pretended he didn't know about the fight with Fai, preferring to address the matter later, maybe even in the following days instead of that evening.

The next day Fang continued to act like nothing had happened between Tan and Fai, then the actual plan finally got into action the following evening. Tan was on the bed playing with his phone. Fang had just gone to the bathroom to take a shower, he left his phone unlocked on the bed. While he was showering, his phone rang with a notification.

"Honey, you got a message" Tan said with a tone high enough to make sure that Fang could hear him.

"Who sent it?" Fang asked.

"It's... Fai" Tan responded. He wasn't as angry as that time he yelled at her, however the thought of her chatting with his boyfriend just two days after such a big argument wasn't exactly the news he wished to receive. At that moment, Tan also suspected that Fai actually told Fang about their fight, however he couldn't really assume what effects it could have had on Fang.

"Oh, do you mind reading it out loud? Maybe it's important" Fang asked back.

"Yeah... Fang, do you have the phone number of our landlord? I lost it, thank you" Tan read. Despite his deep respect for Fang's privacy, Tan accidentally looked at the message right above the last one sent by Fai. The message contained the explanation of their misunderstanding and Fai's apology for making Tan uncomfortable.

"Thank you, I'll text her in a minute" Fang replied immediately.

"Y... yeah no problem" Tan eventually responded. The delay in his response made it clear to Fang that he had read the message from Fai, although he obviously couldn't tell it, not at that moment at least.

"Ummm... Fang"

"Yes?"

"It's a bit too hot here, you'll find me on the balcony if you want" Tan said and got off the bed. He opened the window and got close to the railing. Looking at the open windows of his neighbor's apartment, he could see Fai watching tv. He thought about it for a minute or two, then he cleared his throat and said:

"Fai..."

The first time he pronounced that name, it was almost inaudible. He made a few more attempts and eventually his neighbor heard him. She slowly approached the balcony, fearing that he could just yell at her again.

"Hi Tan"
