Fang went directly back home after his shift was over, terrified to find his beloved boyfriend still frustrated and sad because of what happened with those idiotic people at the police station. When he opened the door however, he realized that Tan was acting completely normal, he almost seemed happy, like he had just seen something funny. This surely destabilized Fang, who didn't know how to react.

"Oh, welcome back honey, you won't believe what happened today" Tan started. Fang, unwilling to ruin his boyfriend's mood, simply played along and asked him to continue. Tan sat down, he picked his phone and handed it to Fang, showing a chat with his student Akk.

"Read it out loud, I'm pretty proud of it" Tan said.

"Dear Tan, maybe I should have used my own phone instead of my brother's one, but I feared that you would have just deleted the message if it came from an unknown number. I saw you a few years ago during lectures and now the feelings I once felt came back even stronger. I know it is highly inappropriate to tell you this, since you're in a happy relationship, but I needed to tell you how much I love you. Forever yours, Cherry" Fang read. This surely wasn't what he expected to find after coming back home.

"I was so afraid that you could find someone better than me among your colleagues and it felt even worse after Fai moved in, but I must admit I feel somehow proud that I got a love confession before you" Tan said laughing.

"Y... yeah... it is funny" Fang said still confused, then he asked if he remembered a girl with that name.

"Absolutely not. I remember all the few girls that came at our lectures and none of them was Cherry or had a brother named Akk. It is much more probable that it is just Akk saying that to test my loyalty towards you and see if he can stand a chance"

"That's possible..."

"Fang, are you ok? You're acting weird" Tan asked.

"I... it is just that I'm happy you moved on so quickly"

"Oh... that... well, I told you, we should just forget what happened. Tomorrow I'll send them an email to tell the director that I reject their job offer, I just have to come up with a good excuse" Tan replied.

"I met a person... at work..."

"Another love confession?" Tan asked chuckling.

"No, someone overheard our conversation at the phone and..."

"Wait a minute, you're telling me that you couldn't find a private place to talk? Well... maybe it isn't that terrible but... be more careful next time, ok?" Tan said a little disappointed.

"He offered his help"

"Fang, I don't want to talk about this anymore"

"Tan, please, he went through it and he knows how to deal with people like Mark. He said that he worked with my brother too, so he can't be that bad of a person. Please..."
