"Honey you're back! I cleaned the house, the lesson went perfectly and I sent the CV. I've also reserved a table at your favorite restaurant. Fang?" Tan said all excited as his boyfriend came back home, however Fang didn't seem to share the same enthusiasm as him. The doctor shook his head and looked at Tan with a slightly annoyed expression, something that left Tan speechless and embarrassed.

"Tan... I'll take a shower, we can talk about your day later, ok?" Fang then kissed him on his forehead and went to the bathroom. It took him just a few minutes to shower, but when he went back to the living room, he found Tan sitting on the couch with a sad expression like he waited there for hours. He sat next to him and ruffled his hair.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to be rude... I missed you" Fang said and kissed him again on his cheek. Tan quickly regained his enthusiasm and jumped up and walked to the door, waiting for Fang to get ready to go to the restaurant. Fang couldn't help but smile, however a part of him was afraid that something was changing in his beloved Tan, although he wasn't able to figure out what in particular.

"Fai?" Fang asked confused when he found his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot. Tan noticed her too and he surely wasn't exactly happy to see her again.

"Fang! Tan! I'm so glad to see you again. Why are you here?" Fai asked as she took a box from her car.

"Well, we live here" Tan replied a little irritated, although he felt guilty for making it so obvious.

"Really? I just took an apartment. I'm moving in now because I had to do some renovation" Fai explained. Tan slowly realized that it could be even worse than that. During the past few days he heard the loud noise of construction workers in the apartment next to theirs, so it was plausible that Fai was not only living in the same building as them, but she was also their neighbor.

"Oh, I see..." Fang said just to show that he was paying attention. To be fair, he was more worried about Tan, since he quickly arrived to the same conclusion as his boyfriend. He was sure that despite a slightly irritated behavior, Tan would have done nothing to make Fai feel uncomfortable, but Fang didn't know how Tan could have reacted in the long term.

She told them that she worked on the other side of the road and that if they needed anything they could ask her for help. The couple left and Fang knew that it was better to address the problem as soon as possible.

"Tan..." Fang started.

"There is no need to say anything, I know it is over between you two and that there is nothing to worry about. I just need some time to get used to her presence..." Tan interrupted him. Unable to find a proper response to that, Fang simply changed the topic and asked Tan about his day.
