The following day Tan tried to ignore what he told Fai the day before, and it almost seemed to work until he got a phone call in the afternoon. That short conversation with the company recruiter drained all the energy Tan needed for the rest of the day. That's why, when Fang got back home from work, he found his boyfriend sitting by the window with an almost emotionless face. Thinking that Tan probably didn't get the job, Fang said:

"What's wrong dear? Don't worry if it didn't work out, I'm sure that you will find a job sooner or later. You don't have to push yourself, ok?" but after Fang said that, Tan looked down, then back up at Fang and eventually managed to say something.

"They hired me" those words immediately made Fang sigh in relief, but soon he noticed that there was something off. Tan used to be so eager about getting a job, but suddenly it was like he was sentenced to life in prison. Fang looked at him a bit confused, so he said:

"That's fantastic, I really needed some good news after another day at work. Why are you making that face though? Our schedules don't fit together anymore?"

"That's not the problem..." Tan answered and started heading to the bedroom. Fang really couldn't understand what was going on and the mix of preoccupation from Tan's behavior and exhaustion from work was about to get explosive. He asked him again what could be the problem, but after getting another insufficient response, he shouted angrily.

"What happened!? If you don't want to go there because you don't like the job, just tell me! But please, tell me what's wrong! You've been acting strange since yesterday... I want my cheerful Tan back..."

Tan stopped and looked back at him, realizing that his hesitation was hurting him too. He took a deep breath and said:

"There was a guy there..."

"A guy? What did he do to you?"

"He... he offered to pay me for... for sex... I can't believe I said it. Fang?" Tan looked at his boyfriend, who suddenly looked much calmer than a moment before. Fang sat down at the table, moved his hair away from his forehead and then asked:

"Do you know his name?"

"Fang I don't think it's...."

"I asked you, if you know his name"

"Mark..."

"Very good. I'm free tomorrow, we're going to the police station" Fang said resolutely.

"But Fang, if I just don't accept the job I..."

"Listen to me carefully. If you don't want to accept the job because that place reminds you of something terrible, then I will support you, but if you don't want to accept it just because you're afraid to call the police for that crime, I'm sorry but I can't..."
