Despite being still slightly irritated for seeing Fai, Tan did his best not to show it throughout his date with Fang. His boyfriend acted like he had already forgotten about it, but he was worried that their relationship could suffer because of it. He obviously wasn't going to ask Fai to move, he thought that the best way to make Tan accept her presence was by making them know each other, however how could he do it without forcing them?

The following day Fang went to work. He still thought about Fai and Tan, but as he saw his boyfriend's smile as he told him "see you later" every preoccupation instantly disappeared. He left the condo hoping that his second day at work could be less exhausting, but sadly it wasn't going to be that way.

Tan left a few minutes later to buy some groceries, then when he came back, he found Fai struggling with some bags. At first he wanted to ignore her, but he had to admit that Fai had always been polite and kind to him, at least the very few times they met each other, so he knew that he was going to feel bad if he had acted as he thought at first. He sighed heavily and approached her.

"Hello Fai, may I help you?" Tan asked. Fai turned to him almost scared to hear his voice. Although Tan didn't know it, Fai understood that the two boyfriends didn't feel exactly comfortable, and so she was surprised to hear Tan offer help. She eventually smiled and shook her head.

"I can do it, thank you though. You already have your bags..." she replied and made the first step inside. Tan sighed again and walked ahead, he held both of his bags in his left hand and reached out with his right hand, waiting for the girl to give him something to carry.

"I can do it, I'm slim but I can carry weight, don't worry" this time she accepted and gave him a shopping bag. He nodded and they walked upstairs together. They put the food on the counter of her kitchen and Tan immediately turned to leave. Fai hesitated for a moment, then she finally managed to find the courage necessary to murmur something more than a simple thank you.

"Thank you, Tan... I know it can be really difficult, but I assure you that I will do my best to be as far from you and Fang if this will make you feel better... I must admit I was very surprised when you offered your help..." Fai explained.

Tan turned back to her and chuckled "You really pictured me as a bad guy, huh? Don't worry. To be fair, I wasn't exactly enthusiastic to know that you're our neighbor, but I know that you don't mean to cause any trouble. Just give me some time to get used to having my boyfriend's ex so close"

"I know it will probably mean nothing to you but... I'm happy that Fang found someone like you"
