"I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand what you said, sir" Fang asked. He surely didn't understand what the young man said, but he wanted to be more sure about the man's true intention before telling him the whole story. The young man stood up, he looked at the badge on Fang's lab coat and instead of replying, he asked a different question.
"Khaofang... I think I've heard that name before... are you Phum's elder brother?" the young man asked this, thinking about that time he met Phum and he, for a reason he couldn't really remember at the time, mentioned an older brother named Khaofang who was about to major in medicine. He wasn't one hundred percent sure about his guess, but the odds weren't against him.
"Yes... may I ask you how you know my brother?" Fang asked even more confused. He tried his best to remember that face, but no matter how hard he attempted to do so, he couldn't link a name to that good looking face.
"I offered him a few contracts in the past few months. Anyway, forgive me if I tell you this more straightforwardly, but I overheard your conversation with whom I assume can be a person very dear to you. A person close to me had to endure a similar situation..."
"How did you solve it?"
"Well, I can't say we didn't try to solve it through the legal way, but I must admit that such way didn't bring the intended results. I'm not saying that you, Khaofang, should address the matter with your own hands... it would be such a pity to waste a young promising career like yours to punish someone..."
"I'm not going to give up, I cannot allow that the person who hurt Tan can go around like nothing happened"
"I'm not recommending you to do that" the man replied. He took a little piece of paper and wrote something down, then he handed it to Fang with a subtle smirk on his face.
"This is my address. Feel free to come whenever you want. We could talk about this incident and the possible solutions. I suggest you talk to Phum, I'm sure that he will be enthusiastic to tell you about my methods and how resultful our collaboration has been" he explained when Fang picked the piece of paper.
Fang remained silent for a moment. He didn't really like the person he was talking to, he knew there was something off, but at the same time the thought of putting an end to that story that was hurting Tan so much was too good to ignore such an offer. He took a deep breath and asked:
"What's your name?"
"Kim" the man replied, then he walked to the reception desk to get the papers he was waiting for and headed to the door. Right when Fang was about to sink back into his thoughts, Kim's voice brought him back to reality.
"Oh, Fang, you should bring Tan too. I'm sure that talking to someone who had a similar experience will be of great help"
