The conversation continued for a few minutes, but Tan could only think about getting out of there as soon as possible. He thought that after ending that uncomfortable conversation with Kim and his husband, he could finally bury the incident with Mark in the past and stop thinking about it forever. He wasn't stupid, he knew why Fang was so stubborn about making Mark pay for his actions. Tan would have done the same if someone had hurt his precious Fang after all.

When Kim had to take the two of them to the exit, Tan felt a sense of relief. Despite the extreme politeness of both Kim and Porchay, he felt something was off. Fang looked almost happy as he drove back home, while Tan replayed Kim's words in his head for the entire trip, wondering if there were any hints regarding the man's true intentions. Why did he smirk like that when he mentioned his lawyer? Was there anything below that surface of good manners? He could think about it as long as he wanted, but a part of Tan feared that he wouldn't have liked the answer.

"Are you sure that they will handle it with discretion?" Tan asked to finally break the silence between him and Fang. His boyfriend thought about a good joke to lighten up Tan's mood, but seeing how stressed he was, he preferred to reply honestly.

"I'm sure that they will. You can consider it as a thing of the past already" Fang responded. It was normal for Tan to want it to end quickly and without too many people knowing about it. The last thing he wanted was to become the center of attention because of such a person. A few minutes later, Fang stopped in front of their condo.

"Get off and go home, I'll go and take something to eat for lunch" he said with a smile. Tan wasn't in the mood for cooking and he imagined that Fang felt the same, so he just nodded and went home. The car went away soon after that. Some time later, the young doctor stopped in front of a restaurant, he ordered their meal and headed to the restroom as he had to wait for the food.

Fang locked the door of the stall and leant onto it, he sighed heavily, however every breath became more and more shallow, as he felt all the stress of the morning tightening its grip on his stomach. He knelt on the tiled floor and vomited. Doing that in the restroom of a restaurant was a blessing for Fang, now he could go back home and keep up the act of the supportive boyfriend who manages to resist and help his partner no matter what. Who knows what Tan would have said seeing him like that, he already had so much to handle, surely Tan didn't need another source of preoccupation.

He washed his hands and his mouth in the sink, paidfor the food and went back home, knowing that Tan wouldn't have suspectedanything at all.
