Alcohol Spills [BYAKUYA TOGAMI X READER]

I haven't seen Togami since we spoke at the bar a couple days ago. I honestly couldn't be bothered to investigate the case as I didn't know Chihiro well and thought I would just get in the way. Also, Byakuya told me to follow his lead for something anyway so I might as well do that to seem interactive in the trial this time. I haven't been attending the morning cafeteria meetings either but at this point I think everyone expects this of me as nobody goes looking for me.

Why is it that i struggle so hard to actually make connections? I thought things were going great with Celestia but we haven't really spoken. I respect her of course, we've had interactions. And she still is quite sweet whenever we pass by but I wouldn't exactly call her someone I can trust.

I really didn't expect the person I'd speak to the most to be Togami honestly.
I'm so lonely.

Anyways-

DING DONG BING BONG

"Ahem. This is a school announcement. Can all students make their way to the trial room uh- immediately! Stop your investigations as the class trial will soon commence! Puhuhu."

Right on time.

I leave my dorm room and lock the door behind me. I face forward to be met with Celeste.

"Oh, [Y/N]. I haven't seen you in a while. Is everything alright my dear?"

"I'm fine Celeste, I just figured I'd be useless in the investigation anyways."

"Well just remember, every little helps and that our lives are quite literally on the line if we get the culprit wrong."

Her tone became harsher as the sentence continued, but her angered demeanor almost completely disappeared once she was done.

"I wish you good luck for the trial [Y/N]."

And with that, she leaves. Couldn't even wait for me, or at least ask if we wanted to go together.

Whatever I'm not in the mood for her bullshit right now. I've been more cautious waking around the school since the looming threat that Byakuya knows my secret.  It could be a bluff for all I know. It has to be.  I've shown no hints of my secret so far... haven't I?

Byakuya walks past and my stomach sinks. I'm actually so anxious I might throw up. Truthfully, that's another reason as to why I've just been in my dorm most of the time. Stress.

Anyways, let's stop wasting time and get to the trial room.

I walk on forward.

"I hope you haven't forgotten what I told you the other day."

WHAT THE FUCK

Byakuya is stood right beside me.

"Tch. Did I scare you, peon? And did you listen to what I told you or is your small brain off on another planet?"

"Uuh uhm. What thing from the other day?"

Please don't say the secret. Please don't say the secret.

"Ugh. Follow my lead in the trial today. No matter how outlandish it may appear. Got It?!"

Phew.

"Right. Right."

He speeds ahead of me. Another person who doesn't want to stick by me. Ugh. I make my way to the elevator and it appears I'm the last one there.

"You couldn't be any slower, Bartender."  says the blonde.

I roll my eyes and enter the elevator as it opens. The rest of the students file in. It's deadly silent in the elevator as it descends to the trial room.
