ARC 3 : RETURN TO THE CAPITAL

OPENING

Two months later, he created the last book of the 100 they had. He looked at his two pins, marked Black and White. Roswaal had the title of Red, Yellow, and Green alone, Felix Argyle that of Blue. Viu therefore became the second best mage in Lugnica. And that was not all. He had learned about the different combat techniques outside of elemental magic and he mastered many of them. He had also changed the word Metia to its real name: Meteor. He took the opportunity to showcase his nobility and he took the opportunity to buy the slums before transforming it into the Irufurito district and empowering those who lived there in the slums giving them a decent environment. He now lived alone in his new house removed from the loot house this morning.

The news of Viu's accomplishments spread throughout the Kingdom's magical community. The creation of his last book with a title count of 100, the mastery of various combat techniques, and the transformation of the slums into a thriving district – all served to further elevate his status and respect within the community.

As Viu settled into his new home, whispers of his feats echoed through the air.

- The second-best mage in Lugnica, they murmured. Lord Viu of the Irufurito district.

- There's nothing to say. Felt would have been happy. Also, Felt has my last name just like Rom. They must damn well be safe.

Speaking of her, he had visited her frequently during his two months at Astrea House. There he had learned what he lacked: swordsmanship from Reinhard. The least we could say was that he had progressed at an impressive speed to the point of reaching the top 5.

Felt was delighted each time Viu visited her at the Astrea Estate, their bond growing stronger with each meeting. On one particular visit, she had a playful glint in her eyes.

- Swordsmanship, huh? You're getting quite good, aren't you? she teased. If you keep this up, Reinhard might just start getting worried you'll surpass him soon.

- You already have to short-circuit your protection deities in the extension cord, sis. But that’s not likely to happen right away.

Felt chuckled, finding humor in his words.

- Ah, don't be so modest. You've been making some impressive progress. Who knows, you might surprise us all one day.

She crossed her arms, a sly grin on her face.

- And don't worry about Reinhard. I think I've already short-circuited his brain enough times. He's got nothing to fear from you... yet.

He smiled tenderly with the intention of killing her.

- You haven't changed, little sister. Speaking of which, how does Rom experience being a noble?

Felt rolled her eyes playfully at his teasing.

- What kind of question is that? You know Rom. He's always been a man of the people. But surprisingly, he's thriving quite well as a noble. He's really taken to the role.

She shook her head slightly, a smile on her face.

- It's strange to think we're both nobles now, isn't it? Who would’ve thought we'd come this far?

- You still saved my butt on the road.

Felt let out a laugh at his remark.

- Oh, don't remind me. Those were some wild times, huh? But hey, if I hadn't saved your cute ass, you would’ve ended up as roadkill. So I think you owe me one.
