A hubbub was heard in the Irufurito district. Priscilla Barielle having gotten lost in this district behaved in a way that Viu declared to be Priscillan. Al, her guardian, sighed poorly. Obviously Viu arrived accompanied by Meili.

- Priscilla, what a displeasure to see you in my district.

Priscilla and Al turned towards Viu, caught off guard by his presence. Priscilla's eyes narrowed slightly in recognition, though her usual haughty demeanor remained intact.

- Viu, Priscilla acknowledged, her tone dripping with faux politeness. What brings you here?

- Stop your false politeness. You are here in my district. You got lost there, is that it? And where are you causing this Priscillan's uproar ?

Priscilla's haughty façade wavered slightly at Viu's pointed remark. She glanced around the Irufurito district, reluctantly acknowledging the truth.

- Perhaps I did get a bit lost, she admitted, a hint of disdain in her voice. As for the commotion, it's not really my fault, is it? I'm merely strolling through your... charming district.

- Go back and go to the left and oh this time, avoid making a mistake again.

Priscilla let out a soft scoff, clearly unaccustomed to being commanded. However, she knew she had no choice in the matter.

- Very well, she said grudgingly, her voice laced with a hint of annoyance. Left it is. And I'll endeavor not to make any more... mistakes.

With a dismissive wave of her hand, Priscilla and Al started to move left, disappearing into the district.

He turned to the townspeople.

- I am sorry for this inconvenience.

The townspeople, relieved to see the end of the disturbance caused by Priscilla, turned their attention to Viu with grateful expressions.

- It's okay, milord, one of them assured, their tone filled with gratitude. You handled the situation well. We appreciate your efforts.

- I suspect Priscilla came here on purpose for what the district is though. She has insolent luck so it's clear she didn't come here by chance, but why? Meili, we're going to the royal selection!

Meili, her eyes filled with excitement, nodded eagerly in response to Viu's declaration.

- The royal selection, huh? Sure thing, Viu! she chirped, her childlike enthusiasm bubbling up. Sounds like it'll be an interesting event.

Meanwhile, Priscilla and Al were out of the district. They took their dragon carriage back to the castle for the royal selection.

Priscilla sat silently in the dragon carriage, her expression a mix of annoyance and contemplation. Al, her ever-loyal and stoic guardian, rode alongside her, his gaze fixed straight ahead.

As the carriage moved through the streets, Priscilla couldn't help but ponder the encounter with Viu in the Irufurito district. She knew there was more to his surprise arrival and the district itself than met the eye.

The journey to the castle continued in silence, the only sounds being the creaking of the carriage and the flapping of the dragon's wings. Priscilla glanced out of the window, her mind replaying Viu's words in her head.

Meanwhile, Al, ever observant, noticed Priscilla's deep thoughts and gave her a subtle glance, silently inquiring if everything was all right.

- This.... Grrrrrhmmmhgdhkkd !

Viu was still talking with the locals when bandits attacked Irufurito district.

- They gave each other the word today. Meili, take care of them with your Mabeasts. I'll have the inhabitants evacuated.

Meili, her playful demeanor turning serious, nodded. She understood the gravity of the situation.

- Got it, Viu. I'll handle them.

Meanwhile, Viu turned towards the locals, his voice firm and authoritative.

- Everyone, you need to evacuate immediately. Gather at the safe zones within the district.

Fortunately, they were neutralized in one fraction and no one was injured. However, it was not the chaos that Viu feared.

- AHHHHHH!

With a blink of an eye, the monsters' limbs were torn apart at lightning speed. In Viu's hands was a boy with gray hair and a green outfit.

- Otto Suwen, what's your excuse this time?

Otto had not long been hired by Viu as a merchant after settling the latter's debt to Russell Fellows. However, even though he recognized Otto's usefulness, he could not forget the latter's misfortune.

Otto's eyes widened in surprise as he found himself in Viu's grip. The speed at which Vui had incapacitated the bandits was nothing short of frightening.

- V-Viu! Otto stammered, his voice shaky. I-I swear, I didn't do anything this time!

Viu's grip on Otto remained firm, the seriousness in his gaze not lessened.

- I hope for your sake you're telling the truth, Otto.

- I swear it's true! Otto replied, his voice tinged with desperation. I just happened to be there when the bandits attacked! I swear I wasn't looking to cause trouble!

Viu scrutinized Otto for a moment, his eyes searching for any hint of deception. Finally, he released him with a sigh, but his expression remained somewhat stern.

Otto exhaled a sigh of relief as Viu let go of him. He quickly adjusted his glasses and brushed himself off, attempting to regain composure.

- Thanks, Viu, Otto managed to say, his voice still a bit shaky. I promise, I didn't bring this trouble upon you.

- I hope so. By the way, you're going to accompany Meili and me via your dragon carriage to the castle for the royal selection. I'm counting on you!

Viu left with these words.

Otto scratched the back of his head, a mixture of excitement and slight nervousness in his expression.

- Going to the royal selection, huh? Meili's going too, eh? he mused aloud. And driving us there in my dragon carriage... Well, Viu can be quite commanding sometimes.

- Because I know you want to make yourself useful. And see it as a way to be better than before.

Otto nodded slowly, a hint of determination in his eyes.

- You're right, he agreed. I want to prove myself and show that I'm more than just someone with bad luck.

He glanced at Meili, who stood nearby, and a tentative smile tugged at his lips.

- Besides, driving Viu and Meili to the royal selection in my dragon carriage is a pretty impressive task, right?

- Indeed.

So Viu, Otto, and Meili set out.

The dragon carriage smoothly glided through the air, cutting through the chilly winter breeze. Viu, Otto, and Meiri were seated in the cozy cabin, enjoying the warmth inside while the outside world streaked past.

Otto, a tinge of excitement visible on his face, glanced out of the carriage window, his eyes drinking in the scenery underneath.
