I was so in my own world, that I didn't even see people watching me and recording me. I think I just found my hit song. I think I found my ticket to college.
2 months later
It's been 2 months since I confronted my mom. I did have a talk with Harold, turns out he knew that I was always his daughter. He said he didn't say anything because he didn't want to be the one who broke up a nice family. His wife found out and divorced him. If I'm being honest, I don't blame her. Her husband cheated on her for their neighbor and got her pregnant. Dennis was a little heartbroken but he held my hand and said he's proud to have me as his little sister. I was walking down the halls when Freya walked up to us.
"Well, not only does your mother hate you but now your real dad doesn't want you."
"It's not like that." Dennis said.
"Aw, big brother sticking up for the little sister. But that doesn't change the fact that nobody wants her."
I was standing firm this time. Freya has bullied me one too many times. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let this continue.
"Kyle wants me."
"Kyle? Kyle wants you? Let me guess. You and Kyle did the dirty and now you think you'll be together forever?"
"Kyle may be stubborn, but he has a heart of gold. And that's what I love about him."
"Face it, Melody. Everything that happened in your life is because of you. Your bad luck. You're a curse!"
"Shut up."
"Your danger!"
"I said shut up!"
"Not even your fake dad wanted you!"
I felt all the anger that I've kept in for years started to release. I was clenching my hands and my jaw hardened. I did the unthinkable. I punched Freya in her stupid face and caused her nose to bleed.
