*Francis's POV*

As Y/n- or... Yin lunges at me, I try to avoid her attacks, seeing gold streaming down and dripping out of the bottom of her mask. In an attempt to calm her, I throw aside my sword, trying to grab her daggers from her. The crowd serves as a distraction as Yin lands a strike across my right cheek with the handle of her dagger. I tried to grab them from her at that same time, but was struck across the side by the chain. She eventually got the chain around my ankle, but I was near the sword, so I tried to use it for defense only.

Yin managed to slice my left forearm, but not much else before I got back upright. I panted, trying to figure out how to snap her out of whatever was wrong.

"What if I can't fix this? If I can't save her?... What if I kill her?... What if-" My mind wandering did me a disservice as I almost had gotten the daggers from her, having her now hit me with the handle again, now being likely to have broken my nose. Blood begins dripping down my chin... Yep. Broke my nose.

I was able to get a good hit on her as she tried to recover from a prior attack. My hit landed hard in the left backside of her ribs, causing her to stumble to the side, but unnervingly persist in her pursuit. Normally that hit I just did would have a larger man curled up on the floor right now, but she's coming at me with a hard kick to the chest... It's getting worse, I now see the golden color just... glowing all across her body.

Yin grabs me by the neck and slams me to the ground, face-down. I panicked as she began to twist my arm and I scream, feeling her break the bone. As the people in the crowd cheer, begging my execution, Yin acts fast and realigns my bone, fixing my dislocated shoulder too. I try to crawl away from her, panting and shaking as she punches me across the face twice, definitely knocking me out.

"I'm out?... NO NO NO! I'm done for!" I think, feeling my weight be shifted off the ground, onto something and rushed somewhere... I hope I don't die today... But... If I do, at least I died to a friend...

*Normal POV*

You snapped out of whatever trance you were in as you heard Francis let out a painful cry, quickly popping his shoulder back into place and untwisting his broken bone. You watched in horror as he crawled away from you, tears, blood, and drool staining his face as he panted. You don't want to hurt him anymore, but you have to knock him out to bring him somewhere. With shaking, painful hands, you punch him twice, being fast so you could knock him out quickly.

"It's okay, Francis. It's okay. I promise I'll be fine. You'll be okay-" You panic, grabbing and sheathing your daggers as you scream into the crowd that there's no winner. You grabbed Francis, being as gentle as possible to get him onto your back. You backpack-carry him as you use your tech-mask to call Baron.

"Baron! Do you know of any doctors in the Hidden City?"

"Wait what?-"

"-Baron~ Come back to bed~" Wtf? Splints?

"One minute dear. Anyway- Y/n, who did you almost kill?" As he asks, you hear him checking the Hidden City news on a different device, hearing the same scream from Francis, but on a lower volume.

"F-Francis..." You say, trying not to start sobbing.

"Bring him down the fourth alleyway south of the Nexus."

"Okay. There."

"Already? Damn. Call for Butcher."

"Butcher?"

"At your service." A horrifically deep voice rings from behind and above you. Whoever it was grabbed Francis off your back, causing you to turn and almost fall at your unbalanced weight distribution.

"What the?!-"

"Butcher is an old friend. He was also Francis's pediatrician until he lost his medical license for trying to taste a dead patient's liver."

"He wanted to eat a kid's liver?"

"No. He was working with adults when he tried to eat part of the patient."

"Wait-" The doctor tilted his head, raising one human hand and one crab claw in a photograph motion. "-You're the Golden Dragon. You did this to him? Heh. I told this kid he isn't the shit. Thank you for proving my point." The crab man spoke. He oddly enough, looked mostly human, the main thing to note was the red print on some parts of him and the claw. The doctor began checking Francis out, bringing him into what seemed like an old garage. Butcher set Francis on the table, being gentle.

"Baron... This guy is a crab..."

"And what are you? A fucking seagull? I don't see any feathers, ya dirty bitch-" Butcher stopped, realizing he was being rude. "-No offense."

"None taken, buddy." You say, hearing Baron being summoned back to bed.

"Wait- Baron, did you fuck Splints?"

"No! Shut up! I didn't! Why would I do that?! Shut it, you little shit! Don't call me again! Call your damn boyfriend! Goodbye!" Baron hung up immediately... He totally fucked Splints... gross...

"Ugh..."

"Baron? What's that pain in the dick doing now?"

"Other than fucking the father of his scientific experiments? I don't even know." You said, watching Butcher shuffle around his small workspace. He suddenly reached out to you.

"Do you have anything golden or shiny?" Butcher asked as you took off the upper part of your mask, which had a golden cover, you removed the cover and pulled the mask back together. You also took off the metal palm pads from your gloves.

"This work? They're kinda scraped up, but not too badly I hope..."

"Thank you." Butcher said, taking off his doctors coat and putting a binding agent on his shell before sticking them on. He saw Francis's locket, which had a picture of his mother when she was a child. Butcher went to take that too as Francis woke up.

"Hey- damn it, doc. Don't touch that! It was my grandma's!"

"DoN't ToUcH tHaT! It WaS mY gRaNdMa'S! I ate my grandma."
