The first day turned into the first week. The first week turned into two weeks. Two weeks turned into two and a half weeks before you could contact your family yourself. April's mom had come to the sewer and met... everyone. She was mostly there to help with regular maintenance, cleaning, proper assessment of everyone else's needs, etc. She didn't actually know how you were alive, but she did help by being the one who contacted your and Montana's weeping mothers.

She explained that you and Monty'd need some time before your families could come see you. She explained that you were both alive and verbal, but they'd be in for a surprise when it was finally okay to visit. Needless to say, there were questions about the moldy things(Mona, Raph, Leo, Donnie, and Mikey), the furries(Francis, Usagi, Splinter, and Draxum), the odd half and half things(Faren, Celsa, Circe, Galileo, and Julius), and the kinda humans(Shinie and Sunita).

Your family didn't know how to react when you technically broke the news to them... Oh, you thought I meant the news that you're a criminal mastermind that was forced to kill a man then changed teams from bad guy to hero and saved the world on a suicide mission with a gay turtle, fighting crazy aliens in a different dimension and using magic powers?... Nope. Just that you know some turtles... Everyone did indeed judge you.

Eventually, you were getting visitors one at a time after the first week of Mrs. O'Neil being there. Monty was also getting visited by her sister and parents, who really liked Francis... despite him being part fox.

You tried to ignore the conversations that happened between Baron and his most intelligent son while everyone else slept, but it was difficult. They ended up saying something about some Yokai that Baron knew being "late" with some "important formula" and how they were "lucky to even bring" you "back". You took this in a very confusing fashion, trying to understand what you could when you got stuck in a perpetual state of hearing just enough to worry before the pain meds knocked you out.

Back to the point of two and a half weeks later, you were informed that they got the "important formula" and were ready to use some. It was supposed to apparently speed up your recovery to being mostly recovered in only about a week's time. The idea seemed unsafe, but Leo was first onboard because he was supposedly nearly paralyzed from the waist down. He got the injection and waited before being able to feel his legs, which wasn't enough to stand on, but it works.

Montana took an injection next, being able to move her legs without being in as much pain. She was surprised and encouraged you to take some of the medication, which Baron also recommended because he spent a small fortune on it. When you accepted it, you said the only condition was if the "purple idiot" did it under Baron's supervision. He did the injection very well and you soon fell asleep without a care in the world that you didn't see immediate results like Monty and Nardo.

This was good. It felt better. You could breathe without wanting to cry in pain. You could sleep without the ringing in your ears. You could comfortably go without hearing the loud sound of blood pounding and swishing in your body... You were hungry... Very hungry. You had god knows how many IVs in, so you should have been fine, but you wanted something to eat...

You were half asleep, so you ignored all the oddness, the sound of cracking and breaking, the feeling of the IVs not being in your arm anymore, the feeling of sliding a medical coat over yourself and tying it to cover you, the sound of powering down an alarm, and the scent of cooking food. When you came to, you were in the kitchen, eating at the table in some weird hospital gown and a doctor's coat... without your casts on... how did you even get in here?...

"DAD! Y/N'S NOT IN HER BED! THE CASTS ARE BROKEN ON THE FLOOR! DAD! DAD!" You hear Donnie scream as he ran into the kitchen, thinking it was Baron who had the light on. You looked over, flinching as you covered your ears. He paused, seeming stunned as you reached out your plate towards him while Baron ran in.

"What?! She-" Baron stopped, not understanding how you were out of the bed. You looked around, not knowing what to do next.

"So uh... anyone want something to eat?..." You asked, earning a confused, respectful nod from both of them. Baron looked like he hadn't slept in days and Donnie... Well, like father like son. It isn't long before Mrs. O'Neil screamed, causing Monty and Leo to panic more, stirring out of medication induced sleep. By the time everyone was done panicking and worrying about you, Mikey was up and cooking breakfast with you while everyone else seemed too confused to even talk amongst themselves, just staring...

"My favorite son... You were the first to see her... How is she... standing and cooking and... well not in her bed right now?" Draxum inquired, trying to achieve some semblance of an answer to this odd occurrence.

"I don't know... I woke up, went to check on her, then next thing I know she was gone and I found her in the kitchen while looking for you... The medicine wasn't supposed to work that fast, right?..." The boy asked his highly intelligent and ambitious father. Baron watched, seeming confused and horrified as you listened to Mikey's favorite song while cooking. His taste in music reminded you of your younger brother... who hated cooking. You enjoyed making food and bringing some to everyone, but we're soon questioned.

"Y/n... Honey, how did you get outta the casts?" Mrs. O'Neil asked, causing you to look over with an equally confused expression.

"I don't know. Somehow I just... broke the casts, got out of bed, threw on extra clothes... then made myself something to eat. I genuinely have no idea how..." You admitted, still being stared at by Baron and his favorite son. Donnie was quick to pull you aside, bringing you to the lab and hugging you. He tapped his feet against the ground as he let himself feel comfortable in your hoodie with your arms wrapped around him. He was completely silent, unfazed... perfect.
