The next morning, I woke up with my head on Billy's chest and Stu's arm around my waist. I smiled, realizing we all must have fallen asleep while watching movies, just like old times. I reached over Billy, causing him to stir as I grabbed my vibrating cell phone. I flipped it open, surprised to see a ton of missed calls from Dewey and Mark. "Shit," I said, sitting up quickly, causing both the boys to wake up.
"Of fuck, we fell asleep," Billy said, rubbing his eyes.
"Best night's sleep in years," Stu yawned. They both looked at me before frowning. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know," I said as I dialed Dewey's number.
"Hazel! Are you okay?" Dewey asked as soon as he answered the phone.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just woke up. What's going on? I have like a billion missed calls from you and Mark."
He sighed deeply into the phone. "The killer attacked us at Jennifer's last night."
"What?" I gasped. "Are you okay? What happened?"
"It would be easier to explain in person. Can you come to the station?"
"Yeah, I'll be there soon."
"Be careful."
"You too." I hung up before jumping out of bed. The boys looked at me in confusion, watching as I searched for something to change into.
"What's going on?" Billy asked.
"Dewey said they were attacked at Jenifer's house last night."
"Is that the chick who plays Gale?" Stu asked.
I nodded, going into my bathroom and changing before brushing my teeth and throwing my hair into a ponytail. I came back out to find the boys standing there waiting.
"He wants me to meet him at the station. Shit, I still don't have my car. It's been at work ever since Mark gave me a ride to the studio the other day."
"We could drive you," Stu suggested.
"Uh, I don't know if that's the best idea," Billy mumbled.
"Please? You can drop me off down the road or something? I really need to get there and find out what happened."
They looked at me before he sighed. "Fine. Come on."
I followed them out the back door and to the fence behind my house. Billy glanced at me before moving a panel and slipping through. "That's how you guys have been getting in," I said with a shake of my head. I followed him through and we were taken out to an alley between my fenced-in yard and my neighbor's fenced-in yard. We walked down it and then down the street to another alley where a dark red car was waiting.
They both got inside and I sat in the back, watching them as Billy drove. We were quiet and they both seemed a little nervous to be going into the city with me. It was quiet and I chewed on my lip before saying, "I saw you guys at the studio yesterday, dressed as security guards."
Stu grinned. "Oh yeah, what'd you think?"
"You two look good in uniform," I blushed, smiling at him.
Billy looked at me through the mirror as we were only a few streets away from the station. "We like to keep an eye on you."
His words gave me butterflies and soon he was pulling over. I gave them grateful smiles before getting out. "Be careful," Billy said, looking at me seriously.
"I will, You guys too."
With that, I closed the door and started walking down the street, soon going inside.
