MIKEY

WHEN I received Y/N's desperate call yesterday, my gut was telling me that something was wrong and did not hesitate to go after her at the cemetery. I did not mind the heavy rainfall and only accelerated my bobber at its maximum speed just to reach my girlfriend soon. Once I arrived at the place, I immediately mounted off my bike without turning off the ignition and began to search for her until I found a familiar girl with long (h/c) hair curled in a ball while facing a tombstone.

The girl seemed to have noticed my presence and turned her head, only for my heart to drop to see it was Y/N. She was completely drenched as if she had been out in the rain for god knows how long and her petite body was trembling from the cold. She looked so lost and distraught that I couldn't help but take pity on her.

"Y/N!"

I came rushing to her side and quickly peeled off my jacket before putting it around her shoulders to keep her warm. I crouched down in front of her and Y/N started to weep uncontrollably in my chest when I pulled her into a tight hug. Then, I rubbed her back gently and told her some comforting words as she was having a meltdown. I had never seen Y/N break down like this before and it made my heart ache for her. Something must've happened for her to act like this.

I wanted to ask her what she was doing in the cemetery and how she ended up in this state, but those questions could come later once she had calmed down and her cold body had warmed up.

Y/N wasn't in her sound mind right now and I thought of bringing her back to my place instead of taking her home. I was afraid of what she might do if I left her alone and I knew she was in need of someone's company at this moment.

Fortunately, Grandpa and Emma had already retired to their own rooms right after dinner and had no knowledge of Y/N's presence at home. I did not want them to see Y/N's miserable state and make her feel worse than she already was.

While she was taking a warm bath, I went to have a quick change of my wet clothes with new ones and brew hot chocolate in the kitchen for her to drink later. I also brought a new blanket to wrap her body with it. After she was done bathing and in her pajamas, I took her back to my bedroom and helped dry her damp hair with a towel while she was drinking her hot chocolate.

Not before long, Y/N told me about how she found out that her parents had been dead for months and how Grandma Chiyo was fully aware of this fact but chose to hide this truth from her.

I did not bother to interrupt her as she kept venting her frustrations while also trying hard not to cry in front of me. I could only give her a piece of advice about having a heart-to-heart talk with her grandma to help sort things out and find closure. I did not want Y/N to resent her only family and regret everything later. I only wished for her to be always happy and see her beautiful smile every day. I hate to see her hurt like this.
