The Bad Things About Being a Seer

Pandora realizes the things she's been seeing are true, and there's nothing she can do about it.

Pandora was born into a family that didn't tolerate anything less than perfect. So, when she found out she was a seer at the age of nine, she never told anyone. Her twin brother doesn't even know about it. Nor her younger brother or sister.

She's kept it a secret, never once revealing anything that could alter the future or unmasking her. Either way, she was a disappointment to the Rosier family. Whether it was being a seer or being sorted into Ravenclaw.

Sure, Ravenclaw is for the intelligent, but that wasn't enough. Not for her family, anyway. But it was enough for her brother. The brother that was there for everything. The brother that was there since birth. The brother that knows everything about her - but one thing. She was enough for him. For him to acknowledge her - unlike Regulus' brother. She was enough.

Pandora has been seeing god-awful things. She's been seeing her friends dying. She saw her death. She saw Peter. Pandora was hoping that none of it was real. But when Regulus died, she feared it all was coming true.

Regulus died the exact way she saw he would. Drowing. When Dorcas died the exact same way she saw she would, it was becoming even more real. Then, Marlene. Again, the exact same way. Then, it was Evan. If there was one death she wished would never happen, it was his. That one broke her, and she couldn't save him.

That's when she decided to try and save the others. She thought she could do it, she really did. But when Alice and Frank died, she knew it was only a matter of time before Lily and James do, too.

She tried, she really did. But Lily and James died. In the exact way she saw they would. She even tried saving herself, but it was too late. She died trying to find a way. She would always die trying to find a way in every universe. Every realm. She saw it. Every time she tried, she died.

In every universe. She dies never finding out what could save them. Ever. But at least she's always reunited with her friends.
