Narrator's POV:

The air was thick with scent of freshly bloomed sakura blossoms as Obanai Iguro made his way through bustling streets. It was Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. His steps were purposeful. His eyes scanned crowd for glimpse of vibrant pink hair he had come to cherish.

It was his daily routine. This pilgrimage to Mitsuri Kanroji's usual haunts. Even after years of knowing Insect Pillar. His heart still fluttered with anticipation every time he caught sight of her warm smile. And boundless energy.

Mitsuri was the sun to Obanai's storm-tossed sea. A beacon of light and joy. One that seemed to chase away shadows that so often consumed him. From moment they had met she had wormed her way into his guarded heart. Becoming irreplaceable part of his world.

Yet, as Obanai turned the familiar corner his eyes landed not on Mitsuri but on figure he had come to know all too well in recent months. The newest addition to Demon Slayer Corps, enigmatic (Y/N).

A frown creased Obanai's brow as he watched the (h/c)-haired Pillar converse animatedly with Mitsuri. Their laughter filled the air. It was a sight he had witnessed countless times. One that never failed to stir peculiar mix of emotions within him.

Part of him was irrationally jealous. Resentful of easy rapport that had blossomed between the two Pillars. Mitsuri who had always reserved her affections solely for him, now seemed to share that boundless warmth with another.

And then there was fascination – undeniable pull he felt towards (Y/N). A magnetism that defied all logic and reason. Try as he might Obanai found himself repeatedly drawn to the quiet power that radiated from them. The unwavering determination that shone in their eyes.

It was conflict that had been raging within him for months. Ever since (Y/N)'s arrival had threatened to upset the delicate balance of his world. Mitsuri's love had always been the anchor that grounded him. The fixed point in the chaos of his life. But now, with (Y/N)'s presence that anchor seemed to be drifting. Leaving him adrift in sea of uncertainty.

Obanai hesitated for moment his gaze flickering between two Pillars. Part of him yearned to join them. To bask in glow of Mitsuri's smile and quiet strength of (Y/N)'s company. But another, more rational part urged him turn away. Preserve the fragile peace he had managed to cultivate.

In end, the decision was made for him. Mitsuri's eyes suddenly locked with his own. Her face lighting up with unbridled joy. "Iguro-kun!" she exclaimed. Waving him over with all enthusiasm of child. "Come join us!"

Obanai felt his heart leap in his chest. The familiar warmth of Mitsuri's affection washing over him. With resigned sigh he steeled himself and stepped forward. His gaze briefly meeting (Y/N)'s as he approached two Pillars. The future, it seemed was about to become even more complicated. As three Pillars continued their impromptu lunch, a mischievous glint suddenly appeared in (Y/N)'s eyes. They leaned in slightly a playful smile gracing their lips.

"You know Kanroji, Iguro-san" they began, gaze darting between the two Pillars. "Rest of Corps has been talking. There's growing consensus that you two should just get married already."
Mitsuri's eyes went wide. Her cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink. "Married?" she stammered. Her fingers fidgeted nervously with hem of her sleeve.
Obanai on the other hand, felt his entire body stiffen at suggestion. His mouth opened and closed several times. As if he was desperately searching for the right words to respond.
(Y/N) chuckled their eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, come on you two. It's no secret that you're both head-over-heels for each other. Rest of us have just been patiently waiting for you to make it official."
Mitsuri let out a nervous laugh. Her gaze darted to Obanai. He seemed to have been rendered speechless by (Y/N)'s teasing. "Well, I mean we haven't really..." she trailed off, her hands fluttering helplessly.

Obanai cleared his throat eyes narrowing as he regarded (Y/N). "That's... rather presumptuous of you," he said. His voice was low and measured. "Our personal affairs are not a matter for the rest of Corps to discuss."

(Y/N) raised hands in a placating gesture smile unwavering. "I didn't mean to overstep, Iguro-san. I was simply trying to lighten mood a bit." They paused. Gaze softened. "But you both deserve to be happy. And if marriage is what you want then I, for one would be overjoyed to see it happen."

Mitsuri's eyes practically sparkled at (Y/N)'s words. Obanai felt the warmth of her affection wash over him. Still, a twinge of unease nagged at him. (Y/N)'s teasing had somehow disrupted the balance he had worked hard to maintain.

Sensing the shift in atmosphere (Y/N) quickly changed subject. Steering conversation towards neutral territory. But Obanai couldn't help but steal the occasional glance at Mitsuri. His heart torn between the comfort of her presence and allure of the enigmatic Pillar sitting across from him.

As lunch drew to a close Obanai couldn't help but wonder what future had in store for him. For Mitsuri. And for intriguing (Y/N) who had so effortlessly infiltrated his carefully guarded heart.
