Breeh's Pov
As jennie approached to me and Jungkook she sat engrossed in conversation. Jennie's eyes brightened with warmth as she greeted Breeh, her voice laced with admiration that sent a ripple of uncertainty through Breeh's heart.
"Breeh, how are you?" Jennie invited, her smile gentle yet revealing a depth of admiration that caught Breeh off guard.
I hesitated, my mind racing to comprehend Jennie's words. "Jennie... I'm doing pretty well..."
Jennie's laughter was soft, nostalgic. "Your know what your stories have always been a source of inspiration, Breeh. They speak to me in ways I can't explain."I was totally not expecting such a response from even though I wasn't even expecting her to remember we were in same college.
Jungkook shifted uneasily, his gaze flickering between Breeh and Jennie. "Maybe this isn't..."
Feeling a mix of emotions-vulnerability, confusion, a hint of hurt-I excused myself quietly, needing a moment to gather her thoughts away from their intertwined past that was obvious by now
• Later that evening •
The soft glow of lamps cast a warm hue over Breeh's living room as she poured herself a glass of wine, her thoughts consumed by the evening's revelations. She paced, the coolness of the hardwood floor grounding her as she wrestled with her feelings.
"I feel like I've been caught in a web, Jisoo," Breeh confessed, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "Even though it was nothing serious with Jungkook, how did I let myself get so caught up?"
Jisoo listened, her presence a steady anchor in the midst of Breeh's turmoil. "Breeh, it's natural to feel this way when faced with unexpected emotions. But your vulnerability doesn't make you careless-it makes you human."
Breeh nodded slowly, her brow furrowed with introspection. "Maybe I need to step back from Jungkook for a while. Sort out whatever kind of I'm developing feelings before things get more complicated."
Jisoo smiled gently, her voice filled with reassurance. "Trust yourself, Breeh. You'll find your way through this and taking time for yourself isn't a sign of weakness, Breeh. It's a testament to your strength."
Alone in the quiet of her apartment, Breeh sat on the edge of her bed, her thoughts swirling like eddies in a river. How could she have caught feelings for Jungkook so quickly? Was it his charm, his smile that had drawn her in, or was it something deeper, something she hadn't yet fully grasped?
She traced the rim of her wine glass, the coolness soothing against her fingertips. "Am I so easily swayed?" she scoffed to herself, the question lingering in the air. "To fall for someone like Jungkook, with his playful demeanor and easy charm... Am I being reckless?"
The silence offered no answers, only the soft echo of her own doubts. But amidst the uncertainty, a newfound resolve simmered beneath the surface. She needed clarity, needed to understand her own heart before she could navigate whatever lay ahead with Jungkook.
The morning sun streamed through the windows of Breeh's apartment as she leisurely sipped her coffee, her mind still lingering on the events of the previous day's chaos at the café. Her phone buzzed with a news notification, and as she glanced at it absentmindedly, her heart skipped a beat.
Amidst Breeh's efforts to focus on herself, unexpected news shakes her world. This revelation creates tension as Breeh grapples with the intrusion on her personal life.
"Author Han Breeh to Marry Actor Kim Taehyung: Families Unite in Strategic Alliance."
Her hands trembled as she scrolled through the article, disbelief and anger rising within her. They couldn't have planned this without her, could they?
Later that morning, Breeh found herself at Jisoo's doorstep, tears streaming down her cheeks as she poured out the turmoil of the day. Jisoo listened, her arms around Breeh in a comforting embrace, offering a safe harbor amidst the storm.
"I feel like I've lost control of my own life," Breeh admitted, her voice raw with emotion. "How can they decide my future like this, Jisoo? I thought I had a say in my own happiness."
Jisoo rubbed her back soothingly, her voice gentle yet firm. "You do have a say, Breeh. This is your life, and you have the power to choose how to navigate this."
"But how?" Breeh choked out, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "I don't even know where to begin."
"You start by taking back your voice," Jisoo said firmly, her eyes locking with Breeh's. "You confront them, Breeh. You tell them that this isn't what you want, that you deserve to be heard."
Breeh gathered her resolve and faced her family, demanding answers about the planned engagement. Their explanations were cold and calculated, emphasizing business strategies and family alliances.
"Why wasn't I consulted about this?" Breeh's voice shook with anger as she confronted her parents.
Her father sighed heavily. "Breeh, sweetheart, you know how important this alliance is for both families. It's about securing your future."
Her mother nodded solemnly. "We thought it was for the best. Taehyung's family has been longtime partners in our business ventures."
Anger burned in her chest, but she held back her fury, knowing rash actions wouldn't help.
Later that day, Breeh returned to confront Taeyang. Their conversation was tense and lengthy, filled with accusations, explanations, and unspoken hurt. Taeyang remained aloof, insisting it was for their own good, while Breeh struggled to maintain her composure amidst the turmoil of emotions.
I slammed the my phone down in front of Taehyung, my voice trembling with a mix of anger and disbelief. "Taehyung, what is this, do u care to explain all this to me?"Her hands clenched into fists, nails digging into her palms. "Talk to me? Like you talked to our families, sealing our fate without even considering what I want?"
Taehyung glanced at the article with a dismissive smirk. "Ah, Breeh, you've seen the news. It's a business arrangement, sweetheart. Our families think it's best for us."
Her jaw clenched, trying to contain her rising anger. "Best for us? How could you agree to this without even discussing it with me?"
Taehyung shrugged casually, his tone indifferent. "Come on, Breeh. You know how these things work. It's about our careers, not personal feelings."
Her voice trembled with suppressed emotion. "Is this all just a game to you? What about my feelings?"
Taehyung's gaze hardened, his tone dismissive. "Feelings? This isn't about feelings, Breeh. It's about our futures."
That evening, alone in her apartment, Breeh paced restlessly, her mind racing with disbelief and betrayal. How could Taehyung be so callous? Was their friendship a facade?
"How did it come to this?" she murmured to herself, her voice filled with a mix of anger and sorrow. "I thought Taehyung understood me, understood us..."
She sank onto the couch, burying her face in her hands as tears spilled uncontrollably. "Am I just going to accept this? Let them dictate my future?"
A knock at the door startled her, and she found Jungkook standing there, an emotion which I couldn't figure out wasetched on his face. "Breeh, can we talk?"
She hesitated, then nodded, allowing him in. They sat in tense silence before Jungkook spoke, his voice laced with accusation. "So, this is who you really are? Playing innocent while making deals behind everyone's backs?"
Breeh's eyes widened in shock. "Jungkook, you've got it all wrong-"
He cut her off, his words sharp. "Save it, Breeh. I thought you were different."
"Misunderstandings are the shadows that dim the light of even the strongest bonds."
