Jungkook's Pov
(Last night)

I was about to head to bed when my phone buzzed. Breeh's name flashed on the screen. Without hesitation, I answered.

"Hi... Breeh, right?" I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Jungkook, co-could... you be my... fake boyfriend?" Her voice was a mix of desperation and hesitation.

I was stunned. Fake boyfriend? But then, a thought crossed my mind, "This is a chance for me. I'll change this word 'fake' to 'real'... that will be real soon." I didn't need to know why she was asking or what had happened. All I knew was that this was my chance to get closer to her, to show her how much I cared.

"I'll do it," I replied without hesitation.

She seemed relieved, "....Can you come to a family dinner tomorrow? It’s important."

"Of course, Breeh. Anything for you."I really meant my words here and she don't even have an idea about how far I can go for her.

The next day, I spent hours preparing, wanting to look perfect for her family as a boyfriend of their daughter. As I entered Breeh's house, I took in the surroundings. It was warm and welcoming, yet I felt a sense of nervous anticipation.

(Present time)

Suddenly, a hand slid around her waist, pulling Breeh into a firm my embrace. I turned to see her, her presence a welcome relief.

"Hi everyone, I'm Jeon Jungkook, boyfriend of this lovely lady besides me,"I introduced himself confidently, pointing at her with a smile. Her touch and the way she looked at me made my heart flutter.

Goodness I've fallen hard for her”

Her father raised an eyebrow, "Why didn't you tell us, Breeh?"

"I wanted to find the right moment," She replied, glancing at Hae-in, who surprisingly seemed pleased.

I caught Taehyung rolling his eyes, which only made me more determined to win Breeh's heart. I looked back at Breeh, who gave me a sweet smile.

When it comes to her, I was ready to drop everything for her. Seeing her now, looking so beautiful and yet so vulnerable, my heart ached. I couldn’t let her face this alone. As I pulled her close, I whispered, "Are you okay?"

She nodded, whispering back, "Jungkook.....thank you"

Her father seemed skeptical, but I maintained my composure. I could see Breeh relaxing a bit, her tension easing.

"So, how did you two meet?" Mrs. Kim asked, her tone skeptical.

I glanced at Breeh and smiled, "We met through mutual friends and just... hit it off. She's so adorable to be ignored."

Breeh blushed, looking at me with gratitude. I tightened my grip on her waist, silently promising her that I was here for her.

Breeh's Pov

Jungkook's presence was a godsend. He handled my family with ease, his charm disarming even my skeptical father. I could see Hae-in watching us, a mix of curiosity and doubt in her eyes.

As we moved through the evening, I stayed close to Jungkook, finding solace in his presence. Every time Taehyung and Hae-in interacted, I felt a pang of worry that if Taehyung loves her that dearly why does she have to be insecure? What if he broke Hae-in's heart?

I decided to keep my thoughts to myself, for Hae-in's sake. But deep down, I knew I had to find out Taehyung's true intentions. As the night went on, I leaned into Jungkook, whispering, "Once again Thank you for being here."

He looked at me, his eyes full of warmth and something I wasn't sure or was I trying making myself ignorant. "Anything for you, Breeh. Anything."

In that moment, I realized how it feels to have someone like Jungkook in life—someone who would stand by me, no matter what. With Jungkook by my side, I felt ready to face whatever came next.

But just then my father's voice rang out with an announcement that sent a wave of emotions crashing over me. "The wedding will be held next week" he declared, his voice filled with pride. Hae-in's face lit up with pure joy, her excitement barely contained. She pulled Taehyung into a tight hug, her happiness radiating off her in waves. But as I watched, I couldn't help but notice Taehyung's expression. He seemed lost, his thoughts distant, until Hae-in's embrace brought him back to the moment.

Jungkook moved closer to me, his presence both comforting and exhilarating. He leaned in, his breath warm against my ear as he whispered, "How about we get married on the same date, huh? How romantic would that be?" He chuckled softly, and I turned to give him a playful glare.

"Shut up!" I replied, trying to mask the flutter of my heart.

"Anything for my gorgeous lady," he said, his voice a mix of sincerity and teasing. Before I could react, he pressed his soft lips to my cheek, leaving a lingering kiss that sent my heart racing. The warmth of his touch spread through me, and I could feel myself blushing furiously.

He pulled back, a smirk playing on his lips as he took in my reaction. His eyes sparkled with mischief, and he winked at me. The room around us seemed to fade, and for a moment, it was just the two of us, locked in a private world of shared emotions and unspoken words.

"Jungkook," I whispered, my voice barely audible over the pounding of my heart. "What are you doing?"

"Making sure everyone knows you're mine," he replied, his tone suddenly serious. "Even if it's just pretend for now."

I looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of insincerity. But all I saw was a determination that both scared and thrilled me. The lines between our fake relationship and my real feelings were becoming increasingly blurred, and I didn't know how to navigate this new terrain.

Hae-in's laughter brought me back to reality, and I turned to see her beaming at Taehyung, her happiness infectious. She looked over at us, her eyes narrowing slightly as she noticed Jungkook's proximity.

"Breeh, you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend!" she exclaimed, her tone light but with an edge I couldn't quite place.

"It just happened," I said, forcing a smile. "I was going to tell you, but... everything has been so hectic."

Taehyung's gaze shifted between me and Jungkook, a flicker of something unreadable passing over his features. I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. Did he believe our act? Or was he seeing through the facade?
