Breeh's Pov
It was a dazzling affair, with everyone dressed to impress. I felt slightly out of place, but having Jimin by my side made everything more bearable.
Jimin was charming and effortlessly sociable. His presence was a buffer against the overwhelming crowd. As the music shifted to a lively beat, I noticed people moving towards the dance floor. Jimin turned to me, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Care to dance?" he asked, extending his hand with a playful smile.
I felt a flutter of excitement. "I'd love to," I replied, placing my hand in his.
As we stepped onto the dance floor, the music enveloped us. For a while, it was just the two of us, lost in the rhythm. Jimin was an excellent dancer, and I found myself laughing and enjoying the moment more than I had in a long time. It was a welcome distraction from the constant whirlwind of thoughts and emotions I'd been dealing with.
Between twirls and steps, Jimin leaned in closer. "You know," he said with a grin, "everyone thinks you're my girlfriend."
I chuckled, the idea both amusing and oddly comforting. "Really? Well, I don't mind the rumors if you don't."
He raised an eyebrow, his grin widening. "Honestly, I wouldn't mind having someone like you as my girlfriend."
His words sent a warm shiver through me, and I couldn't help but laugh. "You're too sweet, Jimin."
Just then, my phone buzzed in my pocket, interrupting the moment. I glanced at the screen and saw Jennie's name. "Sorry, Jimin, I need to take this," I said apologetically.
He nodded understandingly, and I made my way to a quieter corner room of the venue. As I answered the call, Jennie's cheerful voice came through. "Hey, how's the party?"
"I'm good, Jennie. The party's great," I replied, a smile playing on my lips.
"Oh, with Jimin, huh? Sounds like fun," she teased, her tone playful.
"Stop it," I laughed, shaking my head even though she couldn't see me. "So, what's up?"
"I want you to come with me somewhere tomorrow. It'll be a surprise," she said mysteriously.
My curiosity was piqued. "A surprise? You know I can't resist those. Count me in."
"Great! I'll pick you up in the morning," she said excitedly.
We chatted a bit more, catching up on the latest happenings. As our conversation drew to a close, I felt a sense of comfort wash over me. Jennie's calls always had a way of making me feel grounded, no matter where I was.
I decided to head back to the party. As I turned around, my breath caught in my throat. Leaning against the door frame, arms crossed and an intense gaze fixed on me, was Jungkook. His presence was electrifying, and I felt a wave of nervousness wash over me. Why did he always have this effect on me?
"Hi, Jungkook," I managed to say, trying to keep my voice steady.
He scoffed, his expression unreadable. "So, you came back?" he said, clearly ignoring my greeting.
"Well, things happened in some way that, yes, I'm here," I replied, my voice trembling slightly as he started to come closer.
Ignoring our past memories, if I were meeting him just like someone random, I would be melting in his aura. He was now standing in front of me, invading my personal space. The proximity left me breathless, and I couldn't reply because I was too overwhelmed. Meanwhile, I was thinking that Jungkook must be upset with me for leaving without any notice, or he thought I was toying with everyone's feelings.
Before I could say something, he said, "You look breathtaking." Then he leaned in and kissed my cheek, pressing his lips a bit harder against my skin. I could feel his smirk as he pulled away.
While I was still processing everything, he started to leave the room, casting one last glance at me. "Such a flirt he is, as always," I thought, feeling a blush spread all over my face. I touched my cheek where his lips had been just a few seconds ago, the warmth still lingering.
As I stood there, trying to gather my thoughts, I couldn't help but replay the moment in my mind. Jungkook had always been unpredictable, but this... this was something else. My heart was still racing, and I knew that whatever this night had started, it was far from over.
I took a deep breath and headed back to the party, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Jimin greeted me with a concerned look, but I managed to reassure him with a smile. The night continued, but I knew that my encounter with Jungkook had changed something, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held.
In a single gaze, hearts collide,
Silent whisper where love
Resides.
Eyes that speaks what words
Can't speak,
In that moment, we find out
Way.
