Breeh's Pov

I stood in awe at the entrance of the grand hotel, my eyes wide as I took in the opulence of it all. The ceiling seemed to stretch into infinity, adorned with glittering chandeliers that cast a warm glow over the polished marble floors. The buzz of voices and the clink of glasses filled the air, a symphony of excitement and exclusivity. Famous faces floated by, a sea of elegance and charm that felt both mesmerizing and overwhelming.

I had a sneaking suspicion I'd bump into Jungkook tonight, but after our earlier encounter, I wasn't exactly thrilled about it. My mind was still reeling from the sight of him with Jennie. I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the present moment.

"Hey, Breeh, come on!" Taehyung's voice snapped me out of my daze. I turned to see him standing with a wide, almost exaggerated smile plastered on his face. It was the fakest smile I'd ever seen.

"Behave as normal as you can," he said, his tone dripping with mock sweetness.

I shot him a sharp glare. "Huh! Says who?"

"Well, it's Kim Taehyung, babe," he replied, rolling his eyes and tugging me forward.

"Yeah, well, the feeling's mutual," I muttered under my breath, trying to keep up with his brisk pace.

We moved through the crowd, and I couldn't help but notice how Taehyung's stride seemed more like a sprint. "Slow down," I called out, exasperated. "It's not a marathon."

He glanced back at me, his smile widening. "Come on, Breeh. This is a party, not a casual stroll in the park."

I sighed but let it go, my irritation melting away as I began to take in the surroundings. The decor was exquisite-elegant drapes, golden accents, and flower arrangements that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. The atmosphere was electric, and I felt a twinge of excitement despite myself.

Just as I was starting to enjoy the view, a familiar face appeared. It was Minho, looking effortlessly stylish in a sharp suit.

"Hello, Taehyung, Breeh!" he greeted us warmly, his eyes sparkling with genuine friendliness. "It's been so long. How are you?"

Minho's voice was soothing, and his smile was contagious. I found myself returning the smile and feeling a bit more at ease. "Minho! It's great to see you," I said, trying to keep my voice cheerful.

"I'm doing well, thanks," Minho continued, his tone warm. "How about you two?"

"We're surviving," I said with a chuckle. "How's life treating you?"

Minho laughed, a charming sound that added to the lively atmosphere. "Oh, you wouldn't believe the day I've had. I had this awkward encounter with a celebrity chef over a recipe mix-up. It was quite a sight, let me tell you."

I laughed along with him, the tension of the evening momentarily forgotten. Minho's story was both hilarious and endearing, and it made me feel a lot more comfortable in this sea of unfamiliar faces.

After a bit more friendly banter, I excused myself to take a break from the crowd. I made my way to the restroom, hoping for a brief respite. The buzz of the party seemed to fade as I closed the door behind me.

I was checking myself out in the mirror, smoothing my dress and fixing my hair when the door opened, and Rosè walked in. She looked radiant in a sleek, black dress that complemented her graceful demeanor.

"Hey, Breeh!" she said, her voice sweet and warm.

"Hey, Rosè," I replied, smiling. "You look stunning as always."

She beamed at the compliment. "Thanks! You're looking amazing too that I couldn't help but notice you from across the room."

We shared a laugh, and Rosè's presence was like a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of the party. "Mind if I tag along with you?" she asked. "I'd love to have some company."

I sighed in relief. "I'd actually appreciate that. Staying by Taehyung's side isn't exactly my idea of a good time."

Rosè nodded understandingly. "Totally get it. Let's stick together then."

We left the restroom and walked back into the party, our conversation flowing easily. As we approached the main area, I spotted Taehyung again, who was now engrossed in my phone. His expression was unreadable, his brows furrowed slightly.

"Oh no!" I muttered, rushing over to him. "What's he doing?"

Rosè noticed my concern. "Everything okay?"

I nodded, though I was anything but calm. "Yeah, just... Nothing."

Taehyung looked up, his gaze meeting mine. "Oh, you're back. I was just checking your messages."

"Why so?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

He shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. "Curiosity."

I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the prickling of annoyance. "Well, thanks for your unwanted curiosity, but better respect my personal space."

"Sure, sure," he replied, not sounding the least bit sorry. "Just making sure you don't get any surprises."

I rolled my eyes. "Like I said, I can get control."

Rosè gave me a sympathetic look as Taehyung and I exchanged our usual banter. She seemed to sense my frustration and gently nudged me. "Why don't we head to the bar? Maybe a drink will help ease the tension."

I nodded gratefully. "That sounds perfect."

As we made our way to the bar, Taehyung's voice drifted after us. "Don't drink much because I'm not planning to carry drunker out"

I shot him a mock scowl. "Hahaha taehyung so funny.....huh!"

He rolled his eyes dramatically. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever so to be Mrs. Breeh."

I suddenly felt a mix of annoyance and amusement. Taehyung's attitude was as predictable as ever, but I was determined not to let it ruin my night.

When we reached the bar, Rosè and I ordered our drinks, and I found myself relaxing a little. The party was in full swing, and despite my earlier unease, I was starting to enjoy myself.

"Guess what, Breeh?" Rosè leaned in, her eyes twinkling. "Tonight is going to be a blast. Just you wait."

I chuckled. "I hope so. Anything to make this night less unbearable."

As I took a sip of my drink, I couldn't help but glance back at Taehyung, who was chatting with a group of people. Despite his cocky demeanor, I had to admit that his presence had a way of drawing attention.

"Well," I said to Rosè, "let's see what the night has in store for us."

We clinked our glasses together and moved back into the crowd, ready to face whatever came next.

"Life's best moments are often the ones we didn't see coming."
