AnaVillanueva: Finally here, weekend 🧡
Ana's POV
Arriving at the paddock on Saturday, I know I need to be discreet. The media presence is overwhelming, and the last thing I want is to draw unnecessary attention. Lando has arranged for his PR assistant to help me navigate through the crowd and get to the McLaren hospitality area without being noticed.
I slip through the entrance, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. As I make my way toward the hospitality area, I spot Lando waiting for me. His face lights up the moment our eyes meet.
"Hey," he greets softly, pulling me into a quick hug. "I'm glad you're finally here."
"Me too," I reply, smiling. "Thanks for the assistance. There are so many cameras around."
He nods. "Yeah, I understood the assignment, didn't I?" he grins, looking a bit proud of himself. "Nat will guide you to the garage separately. See you in there?"
"Absolutely," I say, giving his hand a quick squeeze before letting go.
Lando's PR assistant leads me through a maze of back routes, away from the main areas swarming with media. Eventually, we make it to the McLaren garage. The atmosphere is buzzing, with engineers and mechanics rushing around, making last-minute adjustments.
Inside, I spot Zak Brown. His familiar face breaks into a welcoming grin when he sees me.
"Ana Villanueva, it's been a while," he says, extending his hand.
"Hello, Zak," I reply, shaking his hand warmly. "Yes, it has. How have you been?"
"Busy, as always," he chuckles. "I didn't expect to see you here. Are you here for Lando?"
A slight blush creeps up my cheeks. "Yes, I am."
Zak raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Interesting. I wouldn't have pegged you for dating a sports guy. It's a pleasant surprise."
I laugh softly. "It's new for me too. But Lando's great."
"Well, he's a lucky guy," Zak says with a smile. "Enjoy the race, Ana."
"Thanks, Zak. I will."
I also meet Oscar Piastri, Lando's teammate. He has a calm, easygoing demeanor.
"Hi, you must be Ana," Oscar says, shaking my hand.
"Yes, that's me. Nice to meet you, Oscar," I reply.
"Lando's talked a lot about you," Oscar grins. "It's great to finally put a face to the name."
"Oh, has he now?" I laugh. "All good things, I hope."
"Definitely," Oscar assures me. "He's been in a really good mood lately."
"Good to hear," I say, warmth spreading through me. "Good luck with qualifying."
