𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟬 - 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗

"Hey Hwayoung, how was your break?" Heeseung asked as I entered the cafe putting my jacket and bag away. "It was nice, how did it go here?"

"It wasn't too busy, but Jake had been acting really strangely while you were gone." He said and I cocked a brow in confusion. "Do you know why?" I asked and he shook his head, "I'm sure it's nothing." Sunghoon added while walking in and flipping the door sign from closed to open.

"HE SAID WHAT?!" I screamed, my drink nearly falling out of my hands. Daeun and I were walking through the Han River after work, drinking some coffee and cookies while she filled me in on what I had missed the past few days. "That must have been what Heeseung meant by Jake acting strangely," I said and took another sip of my drink.

"Hwayoung, I don't know what to think, I'm shocked I can't believe it. How do I explain to Taehyun, that my boss wants to support him as a father would? I feel like that is too much for a child. I don't even know if I did the right thing by accepting-"

"Listen Daeun, he is showing how much he cares about you. I think you should give him a chance but tread lightly. For now, just keep the whole dad thing under wraps from Taehyun and let Jake prove to you that he's worth it." I gave Daeun a light rub on her shoulders and she revealed a small smile. "Thanks, girl, but what about you and the Riki guy? We need to have dinner and meet him. I'll arrange for us to meet at my favourite restaurant this weekend."

"Are you sure you want to see him? It's just an old friend nothing special-"

"We'll see about that. Anyways, I need to pick up Taehyun now so I'll see you later okay?" Daeun gave me a quick hug and I waved goodbye before heading back home. I hadn't been able to see Doom the whole day and as weird as it feels to admit it, I kind of missed him.

Just in front of my house, I saw a girl lying down on the ground, she seemed to be in pain and was coughing out... blood. "Oh my gosh, are you okay? I'm gonna call the ambulance." I shakily pulled out my phone and typed in the ambulance number before dropping it onto the ground on speakerphone and helping the girl. I sat her up against the wall of my building and just a few minutes later the ambulance had arrived.

"Thank you for your help miss but we can take of her now." One of the workers told me and I nodded, "U-um yes no worries." I suddenly felt a hand pull me from behind and I collided with a chest. "What happened? Why were you with her?" Looking into his eyes I could only see anger and... worry? "She nearly died and that is the first thing you wanna ask me? Are you out of your mind?" I shoved his hand off me and rushed up the stairs of my building.

"S-she's not safe, you can't just go around trusting and helping everyone-"

"She was hurt. Why do you care so much, I thought you deities didn't have feelings or emotions." I argued back rummaging through my bag to find the keys to unlock my door. "Where were you today anyways? You put me in that dream and just left."

"Why do you care?"

"Well unlike you I'm human and possess human feelings." I put my bag down and slipped into my slippers before opening the fridge to look for a snack, unfortunately, there was nothing. I groaned and headed into my bedroom locking the door behind me while I got changed into some sweatpants and a hoodie. "Yah, what are you doing?"

"I'm going out to the supermarket, there is no food in the house." I slipped on some Crocs and opened the door to my room before picking up my purse and phone from my bag and heading out the door. "Well I'm coming with you, I don't wanna be stuck in your small shitty house."

"If you're so bothered by my house why do you visit it so much?" I countered and Doom's silence made me grin signifying the obvious victory I had over him. "Get in." He suddenly said while leaning beside a black car.

"Is this good?" He asked while holding up a bag of baby carrots. We had just entered the supermarket and were currently shopping in the vegetable aisle. "Yeah, that's fine." I grabbed the carrots from him and placed them on top of the eggs. I then picked up a bag of oranges and when I turned around to put them in the trolley I saw Doom playing around with two cabbages pretending they were eyes.

"I never knew there was a hint of green in your eyes." I joked and he chuckled throwing the cabbages into the trolley like mini basketballs. "By the way are you free this weekend? My friend wants to hold the dinner then."

"Sure. This is the mother of that kid, Taehyun right?" I nodded and pushed the trolley a little further ahead before trying to reach for a cereal box on the top shelf. I did a little jump but still couldn't reach it, suddenly I felt Doom pressing his chest against my back while reaching up for the box. I felt him breathe into my neck letting out a small "You're welcome," before handing me the box. This action was starting to feel like his signature move.

"Is this part of you trying to help me fall in love with you or something, because just so you know it's not working." I joked and he just scoffed. "I forgot about that, how is it going for you hmm?"

I groaned and rolled my eyes before walking off into a random section of the supermarket. That boy always has to take the piss.

"Thank you, for helping me with the groceries." I smiled while putting away the items in the last bag, "No worries, I'm off now I gotta work-"

"Wait, you haven't recharged my bracelet yet," I said and pulled out my hand in front of him, he glanced and my hand and then up to my eyes before interlocking our fingers together. "You're starting to really like this and get used to it."

"Okay, don't get too cocky now. I just want to survive my 3 months."

"And grant me my wish." He added and I nodded. We were leaning against the kitchen counter just baking in the silence of each other before he finally broke it 5 minutes later. "Alright, you're good to go now. I'll see you this weeken-" Without thinking, just as he was about to leave the front door I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back before blurting out.

"Why don't you come and live with me?"

it took a while to update this and I'm so sorry

I'm just not sure how I want to continue with this book

I've kinda lost motivation

but nonetheless I'm gonna try and deliver a solid story for you guys

and hopefully wrap it up by the end of august *fingers crossed*
